Takes some getting used to
I really enjoy the portability of this keyboard. At its reduced price, it was definitely worth the money and I wish I'd gotten it sooner! I agree with another reviewer that it would be much better if it had arrows because I do not see the point of having a start button when there are no arrows to maneuver through the menu and the cursor has to be moved across the entire screen. Other than that, the keyboard is a little smaller than a normal one which makes my fingers scrunch up a little and the infrared arm will sometimes move but it doesn't happen much and overall I really enjoy it! I would definitely recommend it to any student as a great affordable, more compact alternative to a laptop.

Universal?
No way! It does not work with the Toshiba e405, that's certain. Cannot align laser with infrared port located at the bottom righthand side of the PDA -- unless, of course, you are willing to hold it with one hand and type with the other. I'm sending it back.

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money, The PDA holder's three very flimsy support arms will not hold the PDA still, and the PDA holder will not stay up on its own. The battery life is very short. So carry extra batteries, and any where there is vibration (Airplane, Train, etc.) you are out of luck unless you use one hand to hold everything still. If I am going to use one hand to hold the PDA, then why not just use the styli?
Caution!!! Mac / Palm users you need a pc and windows to make it work!!!!!

Great design, compatability issues
The design of this keyboard is great. It's a bit larger than others when folded, so of course it's a trade-off. If you want a great layout, get this board. If you want something tiny, get something else. The only problem I have with this board is compatability. There are at least three hardware revisions of this board. I got a version 1 board, and it is hardware incompatable with some number of handhelds. Be sure what version you're buying BEFORE buying it, and check the compatability list on Targus's site to make sure it works with what you want it to work with.

I've kicked e-mails back and forth with Targus for a bit now, and they refuse to even give me a hint as to why this thing required multiple versions. If anyone knows WHY this keyboard would be incompatable with a handheld beyond any hope of software fixes, please let me know. I'm not quite sure how that would ever be the case. I did find out, though, that NO revision will work with a Dell Axim X30, which is not on their compatability list at all. This is a great board if it'll work with your handheld. Just make sure it will first.

EDIT: please note that the compatability list on the Targus website is wrong on at least a few counts. My rev 1.0 hardware worked fine with store display units of the Tungsten C, T3, Zire 31, and Zire 72. All I know for sure is that it won't work with the Tungsten T. Unfortunately, there aren't display units of Axims, or I'd find out for sure about that one. Just don't assume the list is right, test things first if possible.

SECOND EDIT: I've recently had a chance to test my rev.1 board on an Axim x30v, and it works fine. Their compatability list is far from infallible.

THIRD EDIT: Rev. 1 board is confirmed to work with the Palm TX.

Not the Best
I purchased the wireless version after I upgraded my iPAQ to Windows Mobile 03 software and couldn't get the drivers on my old Targus keyboard to work anymore. Too bad. Overall the keyboard isn't bad. It works fine. My biggest problem with it is the size of the keyboard. It's noticeably smaller. I use it primarily to take notes in meetings and am constantly hitting the wrong key because it's just not sized like a regular keyboard. That was not a problem with the other one.

My other complaint is I would rather have the arrow keys back and get rid of the "mouse". I thought it was a great idea, but it's really more cumbersome in reality than it's worth--at least for me.

My last complaint would be to beware Targus' customer service. I tried getting help when the drivers on the old keyboard quit working and got absolutely no response from them. If you end up having a problem with your keyboard, don't expect any assistance from Targus.
