Disappointing product
It never failed that when I went to use this device, the batteries were dead. I'd have to replace them and then learn that my data was all gone. Very, very frustrating. After about the fourth time I turned it off, and haven't used it for months. What a waste. I can't believe this product made it to market. Also, the few times I was able to access some Web clippings, I was not impressed with the information available or the presentation of what was being displayed. These would be hard to give away.

Palm IIIe upgrade
Nice unit; I do not use the internet feature. I bought it because you will never have to ship to factory to repairs for replacement of built-in batteries and it had 8mb of RAM. Plus I bought it for [price] from [local store] which included the Palm brand fold-out keyboard. Where else can you get the 8mb Palm with keyboard? Plus I use the keyboard with my IIIe.

I lost all my information instantly
Ye,Ye,Ye nice toy, not for business though.
1)It eats batery, and it is very very very hungry.
2)I got rechurgable batteries for it, but
you can not regarge it through the Sync tool,
every time you have to charge another set and manualy replace it.
AND once you forgrot to do it in time ALL information is gone,
Yes you can regulary back it up... but you can not trust to this thing any critical info...
In my case I had to redo my workstation due to virus, and
at same time Plams battery expires, so I lost it in both places...

No I can't trust my information to this thing anymore.

Go for the new once that have flash memory at least.

Awesome Product
I bought the palm and I think it is the best product on the market for the money. They have a web clipping called Vicnity Brandfinder and it actually follows you and tells you the nearest place of business to go to wherever you are. ie..Food, hotels, stores. All the other functions work great. My wife has our grocery list on the todo and we change it each week depending on what we need in press of a button. I can even check my email ie...aol, juno, yahoo, excite. Buy one today.

Do not buy this awful awful thing
I was very happy initially, until I realized that the 2 little batteries have to be changed very frequently--as often as every two weeks. Everytime I change the batteries, it loses all of the information and I have to start from scratch and download All of the info all over again. Also sometimes when you change the batteries the screen just freezes up for no reason, and it can take days for it to start working again. My advice is to save your money and hold out for something else--apparently with Palm you get what you pay for.
