The memmory expansion is great, you could use 1gb harddisk.

the jacket expansion es very cool, you could use pcmcia card (like standar modems or network cards).

This is the bestpda you could buy.

Seeing the (back) light
Just a note to advise prospective buyers that the BE-300 I received yesterday does have a flourescent backlight, despite Amazon's tech sheet indicating that it doesn't. Neither does Casio mention a backlight in their own specs... And it's a nice one, with five brightness settings for the backlight itself, as well as separate brightness and contrast settings for the LCD screen. My needs are much less demanding than the typical user, so the BE-300's shortcomings won't affect me. I just needed a screen I could see without fiddling with external light sources, unlike my Casio Pocket Viewer's sickly green backlight. Working against me, though, is the spidery font used by Windows CE. Ah, well, can't have everything.

Very good pocket, but.....
Well, after a few days searching over the Internet to buy a nice pocket pc, i decided to buy a Toshiba e570 or a Audiovox Maestro, but Amazon didnt have them on stock so i decided to buy a Casio E-200 that looked nice, and full of things i would like to have (64MB RAM,CF,SD,etc).

When i got it, the first thing i say when i saw it was: "Oh my god, it's so shinny!" I never thought it was so shinny because on the photos it looks gray, but its like purple.

Well, after that i turned it on, and everything was perfect, i really liked (but not the shinny border). But after a few hours later i had to start reseting it, several times, it got frozen without a razon.

I did't really care about it, because im a newbie about pockets, but the traggic think happened 2 days later, when the pocket didn't want to start anymore, i got a message that said there was a problem with memory. I tried hard reseting, and doing a thousand tips that people over forums told me to do. Final result: The pocket had a permanent problem, so i had to return it.

I was very dissapointed about Casio, but very happy because i bought it on Amazon.com and they could refund the money or replace it. Of course i didn't want them to replace the Pocket.

Now im without pocket, but i think im going to buy a Toshiba, Audiovox or Compaq but Casio.

The BE300 - Awesome PDA & Awesome Price
First off, let me start by stating that this is the first PDA that I have ever owned, and I am very happy with it...This is a great deal for the price! It makes some tradeoffs, such as only have a headphone jack instead of speakers. However, all the tradeoffs yield a superior device to the Palm and Handspring Model for the under $[money] price range. With a 128 Mb flash card, you can have for $[money], a viable organizer, mp3 player, video games, cartoon player (south park), notetaker, etc. I have only had the device for a few days, and I am already using it to work on math problems instead of paper and pencil!

The software that comes with it is somewhat limited, but the os can be changed due to the flash rom and there is software available.

Bottom line: If you can afford an expensive pocketpc device, buy that. If your looking to spend under $[money], buy the BE300, it is great!
