Wonderful PDA
I bought this one as an upgrade to my very basic Casio Pocket Viewer PV-S400. The Palm is everything I need, there is even Adobe Acrobat available which allows me to keep manuals and documents close at hand for my job servicing many different systems. The SD card slot is great and with the amount of memory you can get on one of those cards, I dont think I will need a new PDA for a long time.

Palm m515 is Tops
Just got this little wonder three days ago and already I love it! Although the supplied documentation is a little skimpy, between it and the help files that come with the Palm software, things worked out well.

Overall the Palm m515 appears to be a solid unit. I would recommend purchasing screen protectors right off the bat. There cheap and do a great job protecting aginst scratches and abrasions. Replacement screens, on the other hand, are quite expensive. My unit will live its life in the harsh enviroment of South Louisiana construction and needs the added protectiom. I let you all know how it holds up to the humidity in a few months.

Overall I,m very pleased with the unit, for now.

I have found the perfect PDA
I have been through 4 PDA's in one year's time and I have finally found the PDA I am totally happy with. I've had a Palm IIIxe, Handspring Visor Neo, Sony Clie, and Palm m125. The m125 was by far the best of that list, because I found out the hard way that Sony Clie's are only compatible with PC's, and the Neo's screen didn't like to work reliably!! However, I've learned that if you want a PDA, definitely get a Palm.

The color on this PDA looks fantastic. Its extremely easy to use, extremely easy on the eyes, and can brighten up a dark space when a flashlight can't be found. Also the 16MB of internal memory is nice to have, just in case you wind up networking with the entire United States population.

A friend of mine has had great luck with Palm PDA's, because this m515 was only his 2nd after buying a Palm V four years ago! The price may be a little steep, but it's worth every penny and you'll see it once you start using it. I am a record producer/sound engineer, so I have many contacts and have always entrusted a PDA with my organizational needs. This PDA by far suits me the best and I totally recommend it to anyone in need of one.

Now you may read reviews by people who say it turns on randomly, or in any soft case it turns on easily, to that I say "get a hard case!". The hard case (the one I use is by iConcepts) looks very sleek, fits and protects the PDA nicely, and doesn't make the unit any heavier. You can't go wrong!

Replacement of defective M515
My old M515 froze up on me and would not work anymore.

I emailed Palm about it and they sent me a four page letter on how to fix the problem the very next day.

It did not help.

I called Palm and they said the even though it was out of warrent
they would take it back a fix it.

Within one week I received a new m515.

That is good customer service.

Nice product, lousy customer service
I'm a previous Palm Vx user. When I had a chance to upgrade to color, I jumped at the chance. Unfortunately, the M515 I received was a lemon that wouldn't hold a charge. Doesn't sound like a huge problem, just call Customer Service, right? I called when my unit was less than 2 weeks old. I was told to return it to Palm AT MY COST and they would repair it. Can't replace it, won't pay for shipping. It would take a minimum of 2-3 weeks to get it back. In the meantime, I have nothing. I'm out the bucks it costs to ship. I love the product, but hate the manufacturer. Another case of business not caring for the customer. Next upgrade? I'll probably look at other options.
