Date: 2003-10-18 Very frustrated.... I have a Palm V and it worked great, but I wanted to upgrade to a color palm. At first this worked well too, but then I noticed the palm battery would drain after a couple of days and very little usage. Now, I'm out running errands and making appointments, I try to use my palm and it won't turn on. I think the battery is dead but when I put it in the charger it shows the battery is only 1/2 used. I like the color, but the inconsistency as to when it "feels like working" is too inconvenient. Very frustrating.....
Date: 2003-10-08 I Love My Palm M515 My Palm 515m works fine. Was shipped on time and I paid a reasonable price. I am happy with my product. More4Less delivered as promised and I received all the software. Thanx More4Less.
Date: 2003-09-22 New Graffiti2 not worth the trouble I have been a Palm user since my first Palm V I purchased in 1998. Since then, I have become fairly adept at the Graffiti writing system. However, when I purchased a new Palm m515 I found the new writing system too different to get used to and not worth the trouble. In particular, the "t"'s and "i"'s now required 2 strokes instead of one. I tried for several weeks to get used to the new writing system but decided to abandon it in the end because it was taking me way too much time to undo the shorthand I had become accustomed to. Instead, I found other non-Palm OS (Microsoft Pocket PC) PDAs to have the old Graffiti writing system that I'm used to and even a natural hand-writing recognition software. Write in script, and it converts your handwriting into text. I couldn't believe it and certainly can't imagine why anyone would bother with Graffiti2. My recommendation for users like me who are used to the old Graffiti system is to seriously consider a Pocket PC instead. It'll do everything your old Palm did and more. Take this from a (formerly) loyal Palm user.
Date: 2003-09-01 fantastic item I use my m515 religiously... It does everything I could want it to do. And, it integrates with Mac OS X without a problem. It synchronizes with iCal, Address Book, and Mail using Apple's iSync Conduit and the AppleMail Conduit. If you use Microsoft Entourage, it works with that too. Apart from managing my schedule and contacts, I use mine to take notes in class, play games, or even read books (on long car trips or flights). It even has a vibrating alert to get your attention if you're in class or in a meeting. Despite its size, the little wonder is extremely rugged. You won't hurt it by dropping it. And, it's very comfortable in your hand. I highly recommend this to anyone, particularly very active people always on the go.
Date: 2003-08-13 A great color PDA w/ Palm OS Upgraded from a Handspring Visor Edge to the m515. After doing the research I decided to stick with the Palm OS but change brands for a number of reasons. (1) The m515 comes with the full version of Datviz Documents to Go (not premium version which you can upgrade to) which you will need if you want to make your Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files portable; (2) I wanted a color screen but did not want to spend over $250. I wish the screen was high res (320 x 320 pixels) but I can live without that. Some of the Pocket PC models have great high res screens but I am not convinced that their synchronization abilities are as seamless as Palm's; (3) It is a piece of art in itself combining form and function. I bought the extended warranty from Palm for $40 since there seems to be some design issues with this model.
