The resolution is great, I can see everything clearly, and it's much better than the 160x160 resolution. Really it's a really big difference.
I read the problems other people before me reported, like the problem with the light, but I didn't have any kind of problem like that, I read clearly, even books (with the MobiPocket Reader), and it's written clearly.
I didn't yet have to change batteries, but it's on about 70%, which means (I guess) I'll have to replace them in about 3 weeks (a month isn't such a short time after all, but yet, in other devices the batteries last for aprox. 2 month. But after all, I used it a lot this week to add all the info (it's my first device, so I couldn't beam the info).

I really like this device, but there's one thing that I'd like to have, and I don't think is possible for the SL10; I'd really like to have an MP3 player, but as much as I know, there ain't anything for the SL10. Of course, if I'd have it I'd use much more memory, but whatever, I guess I won't have an MP3 player INSIDE my PDA for 2 more years. Whatever. Every time I'll make one more step.

Great device, and the best one for this price range
I got my SL10 about a week ago, and so far it works great.
I put some software on it (the software that comes with the device and some other stuff), as much as I can put in 6 MB (I wanted to save some space for extra stuff I'll put, and I don't wanna ever have a problem with too small memory left.
I'm probably gonna buy a memory stick, but I don't think I (or any other user who has average needs) will need mor ethan 32 MB.

clie peg sl-10 rules!
The clie peg sl10 rules.Yes, the screen is a little dark, but i just use the backlight. My suggetion is to buy a nice set of rechargable batteries and just keep a set handy. That's what i do and it works for me. For software, go to http://www.palmgear.com/software/index.cfm. My favorite software is Documents To Go(this comes on the CD). It allows me to do my homework on my palm and sync it with my computer almost instantly by just running hot sync.

First PDA
The Sony Clie SL10 is my first PDA. I think it is great for beginners. I take it everywhere and am just getting the hang of downloading from the Palm website. The size is convenient, can fit it in my smallest purse. The only issue that I have with this product is battery life especially if you have children and a husband that want to take turns playing the games (by the way just ordered one for my husband as a birthday gift) and for some strange reason i get a message that says I have to reset. But I just click on reset and continue was I was doing. Had a little trouble figuring out how to turn on backlight but finally got it after a few days, the manual doesn't mention anything about holding down the power on button. Anyway, love my Clie.
