User Submitted Sony Clie PEG-SJ22 Handheld Reviews (cont...)Date: 2004-11-14 I love my brain My Clie is the first PDA I've owned, and I've had it for about 2 months now (I bought it on eBay for a nice, cheap price after using Amazon's rating system to decide which PDA I wanted). It was definitely a good purchase, especially if you're looking for basic PDA use. I keep track of everything in it, and have been much more productive as a result. It is easy to use, and the screen is clear. Battery life seems to be pretty decent, especially when the backlight is not turned up too high. Even on low backlighting the screen is easy to see. I have downloaded a few programs to it, as well as some books/Bibles. Once you figure out the downloading system, everything flows together pretty smoothly. I bought a keyboard to go with it. That didn't turn out too well. Amazon matched the wrong keyboard to this Clie, so be careful when buying a keyboard. Make sure that the model you're buying (even if it says "for Sony Clie") actually matches the Clie you have. Amazon doesn't always match things correctly. But I'll be buying another one, which will be useful when I go to graduate school this fall. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this product. I've had to do a couple of hard resets, but I didn't lose anything at all. I don't know whether that's just "beginner's luck" or what. Anyway, this Clie has become my brain. I know where to be and when because of this thing, and I love my brain. Date: 2004-09-29 It was trash in 13 months due to poor cable connections Pretty much shopping for a new PDA now cause this one no longer consistently charges when plugged into the charger. Seems like pretty poor cable connections for this to be an issue so early, I'm used to the touchscreens wearing out after a few years. Otherwise just fine, but without power, it's no use to anyone. Luckily the office owns this one. Date: 2004-07-12 Great PDA lacking some features I really liked this PDA. It combined funtionality with a great price and a easy to use product. I loved how this was priced so low and it was color and rechargable. But it lacked MP3 capibility. It was a great PDA but I have updated to a Palm Tungsten T. Date: 2004-06-04 NOT FOR NOVICES I am new to the PDA world, so when I received this as a Christmas gift last year, I was pretty excited about my new gadget. However, once I got into the meat of trying to use it, I found that it is not a user friendly system when it comes to the HotSync, etc functions. Additionally, as a novice, I'd expected the CDRom to provide more instruction for usage than it did. In fact, there was absolutely NO user instructions enclosed at all. Additionally, I recently lost every iota of data in the thing because there was never any instruction on how to save your information and prevent it from being lost. I wouldn't recommend this unit if you've never used one before. Date: 2004-05-22 Amazingly colorful with ease of use. I have been looking for PDA for sometime. And I found PEG-SJ22 from CompuVest.Com at 114.00 (Brand new! and not refurbished). The display is excellent and moving around within the application or from one application to another is definitely a plus. The best thing about this product is that you can prompt a keyboard (hence the real estate is efficiently used) or use the stylus to type or write numbers. That feature alone is worth spending money.
