User Submitted Sharp Wizard OZ-590A Electronic Organizer Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-01-13 0z-590a organizer I read the reviews about the hard to read screen but I've had other Sharp products and counted on my past experiences which have all been good. I was wrong on this decision. The printout on the screen is way too light to see without bright light and the background light doesn't help enough. I adjusted the contrast and tried different batteries but it just isn't dark enough. The fake printout covering the screen looks good but its about five times darker than the actual printout the organizer is capable of doing. I returned it. Date: 2008-01-07 My 2 cents The organizer is about what I expected. I would have preferred a qwerty keyboard for finger use, but this one is OK. Date: 2008-01-07 adequate though not exceptional functioning I had one of the original Sharp organizers 15 or so years ago and liked it, found it very useful. Thus I bought this personal organizer as an inexpensive alternative to a palm pilot to use just as a calendar, making use of its scheduling function. And it is just that - a "cheap" alternative; For the price, it is great; however, I am disappointed in its display of daily and weekly schedule items. It isn't as easy to view/keep straight appointments as I would have hoped for. It is acceptable/useable, but could easily be better. However, I don't know that I should have expected much more for just $40+, compared to $100 or more for a true PDA. I also find it easier to input my appointments using Microsoft Calendar on my computer and just sync-ing the organizer, rather than inputing directly into the organizer. I don't use much of the other functions, though available - seem ok. Date: 2007-12-29 Could be better Trying to transfer data from OZ-590 to OZ-590 or OZ-590A is best done manually. The OZ-590A doesn't recognize info from OZ-590 and both of them REQUIRE Windows Outlook. Outlook Express will not work. Unit transfer program also will dedicate one USB port to itself, disabling the USB for any other use until the program is UNINSTALLED. Just a simple "copy to" would be so great. This is my third Sharp Organizer and unless this mess is fixed, it will be my last. Date: 2007-12-19 likes and dislikes Sharp 0Z-590A Personal Organizera very nice product at an attractive price. like everything about it except hard to see monitor in direct light even after adjusting the contrast and plan on a lot of manual reading if you use several of the functions available. overall very satisfied and will like it even better when I can rely on my memory to use most of the functions and not have to return to the manual quite so often.
