Awesome PDA
I love this PDA! I bought the T3 after my DISASTER with the sony clie TJ35 and this one has served me well for about 6 months without crashes or memory loss. It's reliable and powerful.

Plus
- fast processor
- nice screen with bright colors. I love the ability to extend the screen, but unfortunately many programs can't use this feature. I guess it's most useful when viewing pictures on the PDA
- very customizable
- improved graffiti feature with more intuitive writing recognition... much better than Sony's
- comes with a cradle
- voice recorder is good with an intuitive record button of the side of the PDA, great for quick reminders
- comes with blue tooth capability but I have an older computer and haven't had a chance to use this feature yet

Minus
- expensive... well worth it if you use it everyday but I feel that palm should have included the case
- drains batteries quickly, it really needs to be recharged daily

After my debacle with the sony clie's I almost gave up on PDAs and went back to pencil and paper... this PDA renewed my faith in technology. Great piece of equipment.

Excelente PDA

- Doc to Go: Syncronizar Word, Excel y Powerpoint.

Don't waste your $$!
I ALSO have had problems with my T3 - it was bought for me as a gift and it initially worked fine right out of the box for about 3 days, then one day I turned it on and all my hotsynced material was no longer there. I re-hotsynced and then a few days later the screen froze on me. Unfortunately I opened the gift greater than 30 days from the purchase date so the store would not accept it as a return and replace it. I called Palm tech support and they suggested I send it in for it to be repaired. I did this. When I received my "repaired" T3, the PDA wouldn't even turn on. I called tech support again and this time I dealt with a rude man named Wes and they again refused to refund my $ or give me a new T3. He said he'd send me a refurbished T3 (which you can buy on the PalmOne.com website for $100 less than the retail price!). I had no choice but to go along with this. I've received my "refurbished" T3 and unfortunately this one won't charge. Well, actually I initially tried to charge it and left it in the cradle for 24 hours and it never charged. The charging light never turned on and the battery indicator remained about 50% full. The following night I unplugged/replugged the device and placed it in the cradle again and to my amazement the charging power light turned on. Unfortunalty when I took it out of the cradle 12 hours later the battery indicator had moved from about 50% full to 75% full. Hmmmm... and I didn't have a power outage overnight. Basically I'm thoroughly unimpressed and I'm now writing a letter to the President seeking my $ back.

Truly Customizable
This is a truly wonderful Palm. I find a new piece of software for it every day. I own a iMac, and found it to work just fine with it, but the one interface problem I found was that you cannot sync you're Email to it, like you can on a windows based PC. other than that, it all works great. I have also enjoyed the use of Avant Go, which, using the "MAL Conduit" (...) I can EAISLY sync with Avant Go, and it works great. To find the best software, at the best price there is, I found FreewarePalm.com to have the most free software anywhere, and I have absolutely no purchased software for my Palm yet. The sound quality to be just as good as a CD player, and the only reason I have not bought a iPod yet is because this sounds so good, the only reason I would want one would be if I wanted more memory, and 512 MB is good enough for me. I find it very handy at school, where I can keep track of homework in the to-do's and have a detailed calendar, along with me being able to type my papers in class. That way, I can just print them at home, saving me a lot of time. I can also listen to my music on the bus ride home. Overall I love this handheld, and just can't wait to see what Pa1m will come up with next!

Pros: Truly amazing piece of technology.
Cons: Battery life could be improved, but works fine for me, absolutely no mail Conduit to sync Email from the desktop for Macs.

Keep the CD in a safe place and re-learn graffiti
This Palm uses a new flavor of Grafitti, which is giving me fits. There's no way to use the old version.

The installation CD is essential if you ever need to reinstall the software. I had a system crash, and though I could get the desktop software from the Palm web site, I could not reinstall the Outlook-synchronization conduit. To do this, you must have the original CD, which I've lost. Palm wants $25 just to talk to tech support and more $$$ to get a copy of the installation CD. You cannot get a CD via email tech support.
