It usually costs at least 25% more per megabyte than other more universal formats - like SD cards. Date: 2008-08-04 Sony Memory Stick I have an older Sony Camera that still works very well. But I could not locate the proper memory stick for the use in the camera until I saw them offered at Amazon.com. In the past I have tried other types of memory sticks in the camera when I was on a trip. But some times the pictures from the trip could not be downloaded from the off brand memory sticks. Therefore since Amazon had them available our trip/vacations pictures have come out just great. Thanks for having these specific devices available on your site. Date: 2007-09-19 Works great This is the only media that will work in my Sony DSR PD-170 professional video camera for storing still shots. Works well. Date: 2007-08-13 It works! A 128 MB memory stick is a little on the small side, capacity wise but that's the largest stick my Sony camera would take. It work like it's supposed to and has a little write protect switch on it too. I probably should buy a new camera. I could get over twice the performance for half the money I paid for the camera I have now, but I'm cheap, so I'll wait until the old one breaks!
