Aren't suckpods great!
I bought a so called 'new' Ipod..... And I've had problems ever since. For starters, Itunes is almost useless, and of course that's the only music program your able to use to do ANYTHING to your Pod, strike one.

Every tutorial I've read and tried didn't fix my problems. And that consisted of 1) restarting my PC 2) reinstalling Itunes, 3) resetting my Pod. Nothing worked, nothing will. Strike two

The fact that you are almost forced to buy a new Pod if you encounter problems, unless you wanna spend hundreds to repair it. And you can't repair anything yourself. Third and final strike.

Is the Ipod worth buying? No. Is it a good gift? Yes.... If you hate the person your buying it for that is.

Buy a Sony MP3 player, or the new Microsoft player. Thoese would most definitely be better buys

Refurbished iPod
It works like an iPod should. What more is there to say?

Good, good, good
The 20gig click-wheel monochrome is a solid, easy-to-use music player. It's a good portable Hard Drive and manages many other small functions with typical Apple-ease.

As for the complainers, I've been around bunches of iPods and the only one I've seen go bad was a generation 1 model that got dropped. Apple makes excellent equipment.

20Gb iPod Used
The screen does not turn off and was most likely the reason it was sold. It works well musically but it is hard to read because light has all but burned out the letters. It is a good back up and was a good price, but I am a disappointed.

Boooooo iPod
I really wanted an iPod. It was all I talked about---how much I wanted an iPod. My friends went in together to buy me one for my birthday last year and it was great---for about 3 months. That's when the hard drive crashed and I had to send it back to Apple. I am now on my 3rd player, having had catastrophic hard drive failure after catastrophic hard drive failure for no apparent reason. Of course, it is still under warranty (by the way, iPods are the reason for extended warranties), but nonetheless, it is irritating, and I can't believe Apple can get away with this.

Now, let me preface this next little section by saying that I am not a technical moron--I know my way around computers pretty well. But, my iPod breaks all the time. It freezes up, it cuts off the end of songs, it is not easy to reset. I have to restore it about once per month (meaning that I have to reload all the songs). The volume equalization doesn't work very well, it is darn near impossible to back it up, the PC interface software is not very stable. And that's just off the top of my head. The best thing about the iPod is Apple's service--they have great tech support (which they ought to have for as much $$ as their stuff costs.)

I thought that I would have my iPod for at least three years before I needed something new. For the money my friends spent on it, it should have lasted. But, I am now in the market for a new NON-APPLE mp3 player that I don't have to constantly fuss with.
