I bought an 20gb Ipod one year ago, in that time I have had to send it back to apple three times. Poor quality. Date: 2006-06-16 iPods Crash much too often We own 3 MP3 players in our family: 1 20GB iPod mono, 1 60GB iPod Color Photo and a 30GB Creative Jukebox Zen. Both iPods have been very unreliable. The 20GB crashed much too often and finally completely quit working after about 18 months. The battery still works but the hard drive seems to have given up the ghost. I've tried to install new software but the hard drive just sits and clicks. The 60GB iPod crashes about once a month and has to be re-set. Sometimes it won't fast forward: it just jumps to the next track. It crashed once on an airline flight and it wouldn't re-set until the charger was plugged in, which was very disappointing. The Creative Jukebox Zen is the oldest of the 3 and is owned by my 19 year old daughter. She is very rough on things but the Zen has never crashed even though it has several dents from abuse. Our opinions are that the iPods look cool and have a great interface, but are not nearly as reliable as the Zen. We plan on replacing the 20GB iPod with a Creative Zen: I just wished that the Zen Vision had a 60GB hard drive. Date: 2006-06-14 I LOVE APPLE!!! I got this apple ipod for my birthday two days ago. I downloaded the Dani California video by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I also purchased a cute girly pink Ipod skin. I'm only [...],but I downloaded 12 videos all by myself it only took like 2 minutes each and they all turned out awesome. Squeaky clean playback and awesome sound quality. Well worth the money and all my friends are gushing over it. We went to the mall and I was listening to my ipod video while we were browsing the areopostale store. My friend Livi was like oh my gosh you are so lucky! If you get this I suggest you purchase an ipod dock or an idog (a really cute dog that dances to your music and is a palm sized pooch portable light show for your music) Because you will want to listen to your music out loud. Overall great gift. I LUV U APPLE! YOUR GR8! gorgeous,sleek, and I feel so hot toting this around in my new juicy purse which I also recieved for my 11th birthday. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I will keep it FOREVOR! Or atleast untill it goes out of style. Rock On Ipod. ipod is always in either my purse or jeans. It holds a gazillion songs, podcasts, and videos. All controlled simply from my itunes programmed from my new DEll laptop which I also recieved for my birthday. So spritz on some confidence and smear on some colioness cause you'll need it when your toting around 60'000 songs 2 hours of video and a whole gallery of pics. All in your back pocket. Date: 2006-06-10 Beware During several months ipod was wonderful. However, now, it is useless. Battery has problem, and software and hardware do not work well. If you do not have warranty, you should be careful to buy this. Oh my god, I have spent over $300 to buy it last year. I am wonder how should they can sell this stupid gadget. Date: 2006-06-07 Great concept, unstable tecnology Its great to carry your music anywhere but this ipod software is a littlebit unstable and slow. Had to use warranty for replacement as it stopped working suddenly.
