Satisfied, but Should've Bought Basic Model
The price and features seem to be inline with the market, but for normal use by my teens, they now think a lower priced, less-storage capacity model would've been a better buy. They don't use the excessive storage or features (quality diminishes with excess storage/features), and they would've had more of their money left for other purchases.

Solid MP3 Player
This player did everything I expected it to do. It's small, light, pleasant looking, relatively thin (so its ok for pockets) and just works well.

Battery life is a little less than I had hoped, but it's still no problem. I've had it for about two months, I use it almost every day and I've so far run through three AAA's. Not too shabby.

The menu is confusing for about 5 minutes, and then it becomes very intuitive and quick. One related minor downside to it is the relatively narrow display. It automatically scrolls if you need it, but for songs with very long titles it can be a little annoying to have to wait for it to scroll.

Sound quality is good. I have no specific complaints, so there's not much else to say.

The battery compartment door is a little strange. Sometimes it's hard to get open, but I've also had it come open involuntarily twice. I'm relatively hard on my player, so this is not outrageous, but if you are planning on really beating the heck out of yours it might be an issue.

All around, I really love this MP3 Player. Even more so for the price.

Great MP3 player
Product arrived quickly! MP3 player was given to my sister for her birthday present. She loves it, and uses it all the time. Thank you!

c'mon get happy
Great drag/drop interface, appreciate protective cover (fits belt!) & armband :o ) Enjoyed extensive & accurate prior review; a friend had done all the 'legwork' and said this was pretty much on the mark for price & great features (insisted on FM tuner of course.) Nice menu layout if a bit tricky, can inadvertently voice record if not careful but easy deletion, wasn't that great with alternate headphones (find standard issue a bit large, sometimes hard to fit, totally subjective) but impressive output from get-go ... both buyers pleased!

SanDisk 1MP MP3 Player
When I first received this, I was a bit fustrated because my songs weren't playing. After spending some time with SanDisk's Tech support, I found that just dragging and dropping the songs onto the player through Windows wasn't working since the licenses for the music weren't transferring with the songs as well, which means the songs won't play. So I had to go through Windows Media Player using their "Sync" page, and after that, the songs would play. I had to drag and drop the songs into Windows Media Player's Sync page, and after that it worked! It also took me a bit of time to realize that using a file system on the player (default)was too complicated for me, so I unclicked that option in the "Tools, Devices" drop down menu in Windows Media Player to unclick having Windows make a bunch of folders on the player that I would need to navigate through in order to find my song I wanted, instead of just scrolling through them. After all this set-up, and getting used to the player, I have found it to be an awesome product with great tech support if needed. SanDisk is definitely a company that stands behind their stuff. I don't think I could have bought a better player for the money. Definitely spring for the 1GB memory no matter what player you decide to get. You WILL use the space eventually. I did, and found it easy to max out the space once I was dragging and dropping all my songs that I could think of that I would want to carry around with me. I wish I could chat all day about how awesome a player it is and how impressed I am with it. It is small, light, tough (it comes with a clear case, even if you don't hold it on your arm with the included strap, the case is great to protect it while just carrying it as well). It is powered by a AAA battery which you can change yourself, which is what I had desired out of a player along with the 1GB capacity. Says it will last about 18 hours with a battery, but I use it alot and find that the battery time is more then sufficient for my needs as I haven't wore it down yet, and use it almost everyday. I am not crazy about the joystick, but I can live with it. There is a mininum amount of buttons on it, and there is no back or forward for the music. There is play/stop button, one for the Rec to record crap, and a source button. This is really agreat player, and anyone serious about music will appreciate this player opver an Apple. This player uses a changeable AAA battery, has a sturdy clear case, and lots of memory for you to store songs. Don't pay more money for an Apple iPod, get this one, you won't be disappointed. (Once you learn how to use it of course!) SanDisk ROCKS!!!
