User Submitted SanDisk 256 MB MP3 Player Red Reviews (cont...)Date: 2006-08-30 Decent, but not for Big Hands I bought my player about two years ago and it's still playing. So here are some observations: The Good: Lightweight - I wear it on my arm for working out with the included arm strap. Somewhat easy to use - Just read the directions, install some software and away you go. Durable - I have dropped it a few times and it still runs. The Bad: Musicmatch Software - Not one of my favorite music programs. I also cannot change the order of the songlist. Small Buttons - Like I said in the title, this one is not for big hands. My hands are average size and the buttons are sometimes a chore to use. Limited file options - Not compatable with stuff from i-Tunes or WAV files. Freezing up - Sometimes the player tends to freeze up and the only way to solve the situation is to erase the file I store the music on and start again. Overall, I can overlook the flaws and use this until it becomes broken and/or obselete. Date: 2006-08-24 good product n service I was a little sceptical when I read other reviews regarding the battery life,but the product works just fine.Even the sound quality is pretty decent.The service is very fast,got it within a few days ! All in all,I think its a good return for the money. Date: 2006-08-17 not buying another one This was the first mp3 player I've used, so I can't say much about the ease of use. I found it hard to find my spot on my audio books, but maybe they are all like that. I thought it sounded great, but maybe they all do. Problem with it was that after only a few weeks, it started having trouble with the earphone connection. I lost it, and looking for a new one,so I can't say how much worse it would have goten, or how long it would have lasted, but I won't be buying another to find out. Date: 2006-08-15 READ THIS BEFORE BUYING, you will thank me! I am not a disgruntled worker, nor do I work for a competing company. I am just a citizen with a story. This player started acting strangly. It would shut down after every song... very annoying. I tried everything on the sandisk website with no results. As a last effort, I updated the firmware from the sandisk website and followed the directions exactly. I have not been able to turn the product on since. I asked sandisk repeatedly to fix it or replace it. They would do nothing since it was out of warranty. I explained it was a faulty product and only died because of their firmware. They simply did not care and recommended I buy another of their unreliable products. I would not even spend $10 on another one. Never buy from Sandisk. You will be sorry! Again, I am an honest person who was not looking for something for free. I just wanted what I paid for, and what I got wasn't worth 25 cents. Date: 2006-08-07 Loud and Fun This MP3 is loud, easy to use, and very small. The FM Radio is crystal clear and the sound recorder is awesome.
