Good item
I was for looking a good mp3 player and came across this one. I thought it was perfect because it held enough songs for me to be satisfied and it was much cheaper than the "famous" Apple iPod. I am not disappointed at all. I love the fact that you don't need to hook it up to your computer to charge it and it is small enough that it doesn't bother me when I workout or do housework. It's also battery powered which is a huge plus. My only minor complaint is that sometimes the stations get static when I am listening to the radio but for the most part I am really happy with this player.

Great Price, Great Player!
We bought this player for my husband to use while jogging and while he is working in the yard. We didn't want to spen a fortune on constantly upgrading technology and at 256mb we figured he would have plenty of music for the reasons we bought the player. We loaded 4.5 CDs onto the player, 2 of which had 14 songs and some of those songs were as long as 6-8 minutes. It is awesome. The volume is very loud, loud enough to be heard over an old riding lawn-mower that is VERY noisy. The arm band is handy, it't useful for holding the player while doing dishes and chopping wood, jogging or working in the yard. It is very easy to organise the music on your computer by copying/pasting or dragging/dropping. I never even bothered with the software, I found Windows Media Player and my own music folder much easier to use. It took less than a minute to put an entire CD onto the player and I simply disconnected the USB cable and we were ready to go. It is so simple to add and remove music that I could care less about the smaller memory. In addition to the MP3 part there is the FM radio. This is great. Since the Sandisk has a small memory, you can go to the radio if you are sick of your music selection and the reception is great. We also used it to burn my son's books on CD when we went on road trips, the grocery store and the doctor. It is so tiny, much better than a CD player or radio walkman. The controls take a bit of getting used to but the light makes it easy to see what you are doing. Many of the players in this range did not have a light which I think is an absolute must. This player is not an iPod which I think is in its favor. At the price we paid, I would not freak out if it got destroyed the way I would over an iPod. I could easily afford to replace it and I also can be assured that I won't spend a fortune and then have an equally expensive new and better model come out mere months later. This is a small and simple player for a great value. I highly reccomend this purchase!

Not bad for a first MP3 player
The size is great, it's about the size of a cigarette lighter. This player is pretty easy to use, though to set up right hand or left hand us, it helps to read the manual.

The big drawback (maybe it's just mine) is that it freezes. I have to take the battery out and put it back in just to turn it off. But once it freezes I have to format the player and re-sync all the music. Sometimes it happens out of nowhere when it is changing songs, other times it freezes from the time that I've loaded new songs on. I was told to download a patch and upload that onto the player, however that doesn't fix it AND it takes up MB. But all in all this happens maybe 2 times a month.
If I can find another player at the same price I'll get a new one.

Great things come in small packages...
I Loved it from the start. Small, compact and easy to use. Plug in the USB2, download your songs, throw in a battery and away you go. Size is great and the arm strap is wonderful at the gym. So light that you don't even know it is there as you run on the treadmill or stomp on the stairmaster. I have had it almost a year and will be buying the little lady one for Christmas.

Good value
Player works well for me although I don't use it more than for working in the yard.

Quality is good and holds enough music to do what I need it to do.

The earphones are not good if you're moving around. If I was commuting with it and sitting still, they'd be fine.

Bought it on price and reviews. If you're looking for Ipod type results, probably not for you.
