College Kid Review
I was givin this particular mp3 player by a girl who lived in the dorms with me last year. I had it for a month but had to sell it for gas money (typical college student!). My dad then gave me a lesser quality mp3 player and i was very dissatisfied. I decided to re-purchase this because school is coming up and walking to classes from my apartment would go a lot quicker with the device. It doesn't hold all the songs in my music library, but it holds all of my favorites. The battery is great because you don't have to worry about losing a charger or the battery dying and not having a power source. I carry a spare AAA battery with me, just in case. I love the way it looks, plus it's small enough to hide in my pocket or purse during classes. Also, the light up lcd screen is great for night time because I live in a small college town and I tend to walk everywhere. The buttons are kind of small, but I got used to them after a while. I've had problems uploading my music onto the device though. I've had to convert all my songs from iTunes to mp3 format. It's easy to hook up to your computer, and after figuring out how to get songs onto it, it works great! I would suggest organizing and re-naming all music in the folder on the computer though. I did that ahead of time and it saved me a lot of trouble when putting songs onto it. Very neat, nice, and organized player. Cute, lightweight, good for college students.

Good, easy-to-use player
Pros:
- Perfect if you have a very small music library or if you prefer to carry around only a few songs with you at once. It holds 512 MB and I can usually store around 110 average-length songs (about 4 minutes each) on it.
- This is great for people who want to listen to music while jogging or working out. It uses a flash drive, which, unlike an internal hard drive, can't be damaged if the device is shaken. Also, it comes with an adjustable armband that works great.
- Very durable. I've had mine for nearly two years and it's still in excellent working condition, despite some minor abuse.
- Good battery life. It takes one AAA battery, which will last you several hours if the mp3 player is played continuously.
- Very easy to use. Plug it into your computer via a USB port, and copy and paste the music files you want onto the drive. Even someone with minimal computer skills could use this with ease.
- Comes with voice recorder and radio. The voice recorder works nicely, but it can sometimes be hard to get a radio reception. (This isn't a big deal if you're planning to use this primarily for mp3s.)
- Also makes a great external flash drive for your computer. In addition to music, you can also use it to store files and easily transfer them to another computer.

Cons:
- Controls aren't that great. They take some getting used to and are very small, which can be difficult to use for someone with large fingers.
- Not very much space for someone with a large collection. Again, it only holds 512 MB (around 110 average-length songs). If you're looking for more space, I'd suggest going with SanDisk's 1 GB model or looking at another device.

Bottom line: This is a great mp3 player that's very simple to use and perfect for using while jogging and such. Even though they're hard to find nowadays, they're a very affordable alternative to other players such as iPods. But like I mentioned before, if you're looking for an mp3 player to hold a large music collection, this isn't for you.

perfect for travel
Yes its an out dated model, but worth it. easy to load with music, great for the plane and for sleeping at night. If you don't need a name brand slung around your neck.... buy this. eight hours is a lot of music. The only drawback, the buttons are micro small,,, if you n4ed bigger buttons, buy the newer additon. Off to Turkey this week and its loaded with hours of quiet music. Good buy.
update dec 2006, well the damm small buttons got to me, need something bigger, buttons have not held up well, is playing irratically after only moderate use.

GREAT!
This has been a perfect player, I have had it for over a year and it is still opperating perfectly. I have never used all the memory on it and it is super easy to load songs onto. You just plug them in and drag them to the folder. It's very small and light- perfect for working out! If you don't want to spend as much as an ipod or you are not familiar with computers this player is perfect for you!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!
I am so addicted to my MP3 player. I ABSOLUTELY love it. I carry it in my purse (great for times when you get stuck waiting somewhere) and sometimes I even listen to it at night. It hold ALOT of music. Again, I LOVE IT!!!
