User Submitted SanDisk 512 MB MP3 Player Blue Reviews (cont...)Date: 2005-12-27 Great MP3 Player I got this for Christmas and so far it's the best thing I ever got! It has enough space for all my music! But one thing that I don't like is the buttons it's hard to press some of the buttons under the case! The battery's are pretty good I have been using it for 4 hours straight and the battery life doesn't change! If I were you I would buy this instead of an IPOD Shuffle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Date: 2005-12-26 Sandisk 512 mp3 I got this player for Christmas and I'm very happy with it. I've been wanting one for a long time and it is a good player. It is easy to play mp3 or wma and the ability to scroll through songs is useful. It looks cool and the earphones are comfortable. The only problem is the menu and the radio. The menu is difficult to navigate and takes some getting used to. (I accidentaly changed the language to Chinese, but we fixed it.) The radio works fine unless you want to preset specifc stations in a specific order. Overall I'm very happy with it. 5 stars! Date: 2005-12-22 Good Little Player After rebates I only paid $45 for mine. With that in mind, it's a great little player. I had some trouble toggling from FM radio back to the MP3 player. I called tech support, and was conected fast and they helped me right away. The problem was me not pressing the button fast enough to toggle. No problem with the player, operator error only. Sound is good, and the earphones feel comfortable to me. No problems loading songs, easy to do. No complaints so far. Date: 2005-12-17 It was full of pleasant surprises I wanted an MP3 player, but the best surprise about this particular model was what a fantastically good FM radio it turned out to be. The second unexpected attribute was that it survived an entire machine wash cycle in the pocket of my shorts, and even a full cycle in the dryer (low heat), and still works perfectly. I was positive I had just ruined it - but no. It's not advertised as water resistant, but seems to be. Date: 2005-12-16 poor battery life ruins the good things this player had going for it If the battery life was longer, or there was a rechargable battery that could easily be charged on a laptop, I would say this is a good player... but it's not. The battery life got shorter the longer I had the player (I got in Christmas 2004). When it was low on batteries (i.e., after about 5 hours of use) the player turned off when I would try to skip tracks (though it would continue to play if I didn't skip tracks). The reason I give it 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 is that the radio worked great, and I could change stations without the player constantly turning off on me. The player was easy to use and the memory was plenty for what I wanted it for, but having to change the battery once a week really adds up in extra spending on it. The arm strap is really nice for running. This is a tad petty, but the headphones are made for someone who's right handed and would wear the strap on their left arm. So it makes it a little difficult if you prefer to jog with it on your right arm for lefties like me -- the cord is shorter on the left-ear side so sometimes the left earbud it gets pulled out of your ear. Also, they don't sound very good anymore. I am disappointed because I'm going to end up buying ANOTHER mp3 player this Christmas. The extra money I will spend on a nicer one I would have spent on batteries, anyways. Overall, I would discourage anyone from buying this unless they will use it infrequently.
