BUT, the steps required for navigating the different features were numerous and hard to remember. No problem, there's the instruction booklet-not! The worst documentation I can remember for any electronic appliance I have purchased. There were many symbols and choices that I had no idea what they meant or did. Last, the joystick became off-center. This rendered its responses less predictable than would be expected. For example, it would advance the tracks upon pressing when I intended to select the one ready for playing. After 2 weeks of confusion, I returned it and upgraded to Zen Nano Plus - to be continued. Date: 2005-11-03 Definity should consider buying I got this MP3 player a couple of months ago, after a friend of mine showed me hers. It is a really nice player, and I love it. The only thing that would be better, is if it was easier to get to a file that has certain songs in it, instead of having to click the button 20 times to get to a certain song. Other then that, the sound quaility is perfect, and the radio is nice, plus the sound recorder picks up sounds really nicely. I'm also confused about how the armband works, can't quite figure it out. But if you're looking for a tiny MP3 player, I would think that this would be a must. It's really nice to have around, plus it's really easy to download songs onto it. Anyone could do it. Batterey life is nice and long too. Date: 2005-11-02 Easy To Use for computer illiterate I am computer-stupid. But WOO HOO! I figured this MP3 player out all by myself. I read the entire manual first, before I even sat down at the computer. I highlighted a song in the song list on my computer. Clicked "Copy this file" and copied it to the new E drive that showed up when I plugged the player into my computer. One by one, I put them all in and it worked! The only thing I needed the enclosed disk for was a few more detailed instructions. I needed to know how to make my song list to play randomly on the mp3 player. It took 3 steps, but I did it. This is super tiny! The only downfall is the headphones. I have had to wiggle the connector a few times to clear up static or to make the music sound in both ears. I haven't tried another headset, but I find this to be a minor annoyance. For the most part, I love it and would recommend it to anyone new to this technology. Date: 2005-10-30 perfect this is so not cheap i love it and as a rough kid it loves me Date: 2005-10-29 The perfect workout player! I have been extremely satisfied with this player. If you are reading this review, BUY IT. It looks great, plays great, and has longer battery life than the IPod shuffle. A few minor gripes: a) Occasionally when I am uploading files from my computer to the Sandisk, it freezes up my computer. But it's okay if I just pull the player and then plug it back in. b) Selecting a particular song you want to listen to can be difficult because the scrolling through the list of songs is very slow, and after about 10 seconds the backlight turns off, making it hard to see what you're doing. But this is an excellent MP3 player. If all you want to do is play your mp3's randomly, or listen to a radio station then its perfect. It has an excellent feature that finds the 20 strongest radio stations and presets them for you in less than a minute, making it easy to listen to the radio in different locations that might get different signals from the stations. I actually have been happy with the pair of earphones that came with the player in terms of sound quality, but I may look into getting a cordless earphone, because the cord can get in the way while I work out. All in all, I am very happy I bought this player.
