User Submitted Contour Showcase 4G & Ipod Photo Compatible iPod Case Reviews (cont...)Date: 2005-12-03 Good protection, easy to remove Like the iSee from the same company, this case protects the iPod while providing easy access to the controls and inputs. Unlike the iSee, this case can be easily removed so the iPod can fit in a Bose SoundDock or similiar device. This case also is not entirely clear, and the white trim does tend to show wear more than the clear iSee. Also includes a foam insert to make the case compatible with all fourth generation iPods. Date: 2005-11-23 Best Carrying Case I've Found for the Ipod I have owned many Ipods and many Ipod carrying cases. I use my Ipod daily on a very long commute in and out of DC. I have had more stylish carrying cases but none that protects the Ipod as well as this one. The case is easy to open and close, protects the Ipod from inadvertent splashes and rain drops, and offers some protection if you drop the Ipod. Obviously you cannot immerse the Ipod in water and if you toss it off a building it will be damaged, but this is about as good as it gets at the moment. You do have to remove the case to use the Ipod with most other accessories. but, as I said, it is easy to open and close. Also, get the black. The white smudges and looks ratty fairly shortly after purchase. Date: 2005-10-14 Beautiful case This case is very nice, in design and function. The only reason that I give it four stars instead of five is that it adds quite a bit of thickness to a 20gb Ipod, because the other 4th generation Ipods are thicker. The foam pad insert works well, and it's die cut to the back of the case, so you can't see it through the back of the case. It strikes me as rather strange that the instructions for opening the case are inside the closed case when you buy it, though. Date: 2005-10-13 Do not buy if you use iTrip I was duped by an earlier review stating that the iTrip fits with this case....NOT EVEN CLOSE. Date: 2005-10-05 best I've seen so far Nice case which protects but does as little damage to the appearance of the pod as any case can. I'd love to use the pod sans any case, but they're a necessary evil IMHO. Screen remains easy to read, and all ports and clickwheel have no loss of control. The case feels better to my skin than the gel-like cases. Being able to see more of the sublime design of the pod than in most other cases puts it over the top.
