User Submitted Contour Showcase 4G & Ipod Photo Compatible iPod Case Reviews (cont...)Date: 2005-08-16 This is "The One" After wasting money on three other cases, I finally stumbled onto the Contour Showcase. It's far superior to anything else I've seen out there. I use it on my 40gb 4G and I bought one for my daughter's 20gb 4G as well. You will not be disappointed with this product! Date: 2005-06-14 my ipod screen CRACKED in this CASE! I would never recommend this case to anyone! I bought it to protect my ipod screen after hearing so many horror stories on ipod screens breaking easily. I think the case could have even been the cause of the crack because of the pressure inside. I'm not sure what happened but it didn't protect my brand new ipod at all. The only good thing about it is that it's really cute. Date: 2005-05-27 It worked great until.... I got this case, and it worked great until it broke. Maybe I got a defective one. There was a lot of pressure on the clasp, and a few weeks after I bought it (too late to return it), it was sitting on my desk and the clasp just shattered. It had not been mishandled or dropped, so there's a flaw, even if it's "just" the thickness of the foam. Date: 2005-04-01 Amazing case for those who don't mind its flaws Ok. First off, I simply love this thing. It matchs the ipods style perfectly and doesn't look like some cheap flamboyant rubber case. The plastic that covers the front looks really nice and the white grips emphasize the ipod's beautiful simplicity. The protection is also really good. Some people have said that the case gets dirty easily, but maybe its just me but mines still relaly white. If it gets dirty anyways, its easily washable so thats not a problem. Now, depending on which ipod you have, you might not likethis case. If you have the 20gig like me, you'll find that the case doubles your ipod's thickness. This is because the case was designed as a fit-all type of thing. It comes with a foam insert (which I suppose adds more protection, padding never hurt anyone) to make the 20 gig fit int he case. If you're like me and you don't mind the extra thickness, then get this case, I highly recommend. Date: 2005-03-24 NOT for 20GB iPod -1. This product is for the thicker 40GB iPod photos. My new 20GB iPOd thicknedd doubled after I used the case ! Now it doesn't look so cool nor doe it fit my pocket. -2 Gets dirty easily on the White color as its textured rubber. -3 Can't use the iPod with my iTrip FM tranmitter or the DOCK because of the thick casing !!! What good is this product ??? This is only for those who really abuse their iPods becasue the case sure is very sturdy
