Great Handheld
When I first received this product it wouldn't hold a charge but the supplier promptly replaced it and it is working wonderfully. I got it for a professional billing system that allows me to post patients seen away from the computer and then upload the records when I am back at the computer. It works wonderfully and allows me the flexibility to also go on-line when I am not on my computer. Although, others may do the same with their phones I didn't want to pay the monthly fees to do that so this serves my needs. It also works wonderfully at keeping all my contacts and patient info in one easy accessible place. I highly recommend.

Rating a 1 is giving over credit! Not impressed!!! Palm is a horrible company!!
1st of all, The palm TX has alot of good features, I actually liked it, not having any problems for the first 4 months. After that though is when the nightmares started. The on off switch started going bad, the palm kept on crashing, and the 3.5 mm earphone jack went out. I called Palm support, the call is forwarded to a call center in India, after talking and argueing for 4 days, speaking to about 8 different people and 3 different supervisors, all telling me different things, I finally got the authorization to get my palm sent in. Well about 2 weeks later it came back... different device, all the programs i purchased for it didnt work on it... well about 3 weeks later the same problem occured with the palm. The earphone Jack went out. The same problem with both devices. Well i had to start the procedure over again, calling palm, by this time they are disgusted with me, because i dont back down. I want to know every detail, seeing i work in customer service, and i have to deal with alot of othe companies for my work. I got no help and they told me to call Corporate. Well this didnt go so hot either.... After about 5 hrs on the phone, i finally got hold of someone that well could kinda understand what i was saying, but offered no help, Amazon is awesome, they helped me very well in the situation, gave me a full refund. I would not recommend Palm to anyone, The company is going to fall apart if there customer service keeps this garbage up. Other than that.... It was an alright product, rated about 1/1100th out of a 1000.

limited
I can not believe that this item is still so expensive. I bought the palm tx about 3 years ago, and to tell you the truth it is a nice toy, just a toy. it is so limited. the bluetooth work when it feels like it, and to add to that it really only works with the computer. I tried to get it to work with my phone and my bluetooth head set, that was a project with no results. Apps are expensive for this device. the only apps that i did use were the e book and p tunes.
I have my device on my wall connected to my stereo. That is only use i can find for it now. if your are looking for a device that can handle spread sheet, get a smartphone. if you want something that you can watch videos with get an itouch. Maybe 3years ago this product was worth it. but it is definitly not worth it now.

iPod Touch... DUH!
In shopping for the best handheld device with the greatest potential for programming, scheduling, and Wi-Fi IMing/emailing, you should be asking yourself why you don't own an iPod Touch instead. Palm's are attractive and the brand is popular, but the device itself is one-eighth of the machine of an iPod Touch. You don't need to shell out the dough for a new phone or $300 organizer. The iPod retails around $200 to $300 depending on memory (8 GB versus 16 GB).

I likey my Handheld
I love this handheld. It's got some cool features. I just wish it was more intuitive, and installing new files was easier. And it doesn't synch with 64 bits Vista using the cradle or cable. You have to use WiFi. I took me a while to figure out how to install anything. I like it, but I found that my palm phone does the same thing this does, it's just a little bigger.
