User Submitted SanDisk Sansa c240 1 GB MP3 Player (Black) Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-03-31 christmas gift got this for my son he loves it delivery was great 3 days thanks a lot will buy again from company Date: 2008-03-08 Can't I give negative stars? The device is unstable, and SanDisk support is incompetent. I've gone through the RMA process with them about 7 times now. I would have loved to give up and get a refund from Amazon after the second new unit failed to work properly, but SanDisk took so long with the first RMA that I ended up outside the 30 day return-for-a-full-refund window. I am still playing the RMA tango with them 3 and a half months later. Date: 2008-02-20 Not satisfied whatsoever I did a lot of research beforehand, not only looking at different sansa's, but different mp3 players. I was especially looking for an mp3 player with a built in FM Tuner, so I could listen to a talk show at night and also listen to music when it was done (all while working out). First off, the FM Tuner is a piece of crap. Not only is its extremely inconsistent with its clarity, but majority of the time there is to much static to even bear listening to the radio at all. Second of all, countless mp3's i put on it were read as "bad tracks." (all of these mp3's work on my ipod, and aren't protected or anything either). Playlists on this thing aren't worth the hassle. Plus, the only case I could find for this thing cost $30 which is what I paid for the player itself! Bottom line, look elsewhere for a mp3 player, especially if you are ever going to use the FM Tuner. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for, this thing WILL play music, but is cheap nonetheless. Be careful. I never thought of myself as an ipod advocate, but i would definitely pay the extra money for one of those (a thousand times more reliable, simpler, and manageable). Date: 2008-02-16 SanDisk Sansa c240 1gb mp3 Player For the price the c240 is great. It does everything I wanted it to do. It is easy to load and erase music. The FM radio gets great reception. I do not like the in ear head phones. I bought a cheap set of over the ear head phones. I also think it would have been better to put the head phone jack on the end away from the neck cord. The cables keep getting tangled up. But those are very minor things for the quality and the price. Date: 2008-02-15 Poor design and construction The headphone jack started cutting out after a few months. One channel is now completely dead. The screen is easily cracked (my fault, but nevertheless....) and the battery cover is loose and feels like it will fall off. I would not purchase this or the larger capacity (2GB I think) built with the same design. Junk - worthless now.
