User Submitted SanDisk Sansa c240 1 GB MP3 Player (Black) Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-02-10 NO frills 1GB music player I purchased the Sansa c240 from another site on a closeout sale for around $40. I was looking for a replacement for a crappy, 5 year old 512MB Gateway MP3 player I had been using. My main criteria were: 1) Cheap 2) At least 1GB 3) Rechargeable battery #3 was really huge for me as my old MP3 player ate AAA batteries like crazy. For my needs this player was perfect. If you're looking for a solid MP3 player and nothing more this device fits the bill. You can use it to display photos but the screen is so low res I would not recommend it. I use it when I mow the lawn and when I work out at the gym. I've read other reviews complaining about short battery life. I don't know if they just got a bad unit or what but mine seems great although I only use it about an hour at a time. Date: 2008-02-10 Works Great! The SanDisk Sansa c240 1 GB MP3 Player is a great MP3 player. It holds a lot of songs and transfering songs and pictures to it is very easy. The FM radio is very nice too. This MP3 player is also really easy to use and is good for all ages. I would definetly recommend this product. Date: 2008-02-06 Works like it should This is great for those looking for a non bells and whistles kind of mp3 player. I got it to listen to music in the car and at the gym. The menu system was pretty easy to get used to. In the car I can easily reach for the charger cord and pull the player up and hit the skip button without thinking or taking my eyes off the road. I drop things in the car so I like being able to do that. Sound could be a little louder but have never had to put it up all the way. Relatively easy to use and good for a beginner using this device. Excellent for audio books as it remembers where you are to prevent duplicate listening. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a decent player for a good price. Picture function too small and display a bit washed out at times in terms of contrast, but it serves its purpose of being a small MP3 player with a nice interface overall well.
