User Submitted SanDisk SDCFX3-016G-A31 16 GB Extreme III CompactFlash Card (Retail Package) Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-02-07 Wonderful! This disk works just fine with formating on the Canon Rebel XTi/400D for about 3500 photots. 16GB is the maximum the XTi will recognize so if you go higher, not that I think more is available at this time, you will have the same problem as people with the 5D are having with this card. I also got it to work in my dad's Canon EOS 5D by formating it on the XTI and just popping it into the 5D. The camera will shoot all 16GB worth of memory for about 3000 photos NOT on Raw. As other people suggested in the reviews you should be able to format it on the computer to get the EOS 5D to recognize all 16GB. Date: 2008-01-25 If you need lots of memory this little guy is the way to go If your tired of fumbling around with several 1 and 2 GB cards while your out in the field trying to get great photos, this little gadget is great. I have yet to even come close to filling it. It's a little bit on the pricey side but worth it. Date: 2007-12-28 highly recommended I bought this memory card for my new Canon 40D and it's just amazing. I'll never again have to worry about memory space. I recon I can take up to 3500 hi-res pics (without RAW) on this card. I keep on clicking and clicking and the indicator on my camera keeps showing 999 pictures available (which is the maximum the camera can show). It's about time Canon updated their cameras to reflect the true number of pictures that can be taken, especially that memory card capacity is always on the rise. If you're as impatient as I am to download your photos and view them on a proper screen, you will notice that trasfering photos out of this card is quite slow, especially if you've filled your card with hundreds of photos. Nevertheless, I had no hesitations and have no regrets. Date: 2007-12-04 Works great in the new Nikon D300 I just purchased the Nikon D300, and found that my "old" 4 GB SanDisk Ultra III CF card wasn't gonna cut it in this beast. Low and behold - the 16 GB is now shipping. The price was great, it arrived a day early, and I couldn't be happier. The Nikon formatted it without any issues at all. Here are the number of images the D300 (12.3 MP) can write to this card: RAW - 606 TIFF - 423 Fine (JPG) - 1400 Normal (JPG) - 2900 Basic (JPG) - 5800 RAW + Fine - 430 RAW + Normal - 503 RAW + Basic - 549 Read/Write performance is excellent, and I look forward to not swapping cards out anymore. The two were made for each other. Date: 2007-11-21 16 GB Sandisk a Bust The 16 GB sandisk will not work in most if not all of Canon cameras. I have a Canon 5D and and 20D and after much to do with Canon Tech support and Scandisk tech sup[port it was determined that it won't work on either canera. It only showed approx 7.56 GB available and the possibility of malfunctioning later on was high.
