Sprint service terrible
It doesn't matter how many bells and whistles a phone has - it will only be as good as the carrier and with Sprint, you will be headed for disappointment and frustration. Customer service, when you can actually get through to them, is incompetent. Prepare to have hours of your time stolen from you when you deal with a billing problem with Sprint. I've had charges for services I never ordered nor authorized appear on my bill, and then spent literally hours of time e-mailing, trying to access their website and calling, with no resolution. Find a phone you can like with another carrier.

Do Not Use SPRINT Anymore
SPRINT IS TERRIBLE

True, they offer the Live TV and Sirius which I couldn't live without now that I'm spoiled.

But do not call Sprint and expect to be sane afterwards. I can understand busy times and what not, but for the last couple months it seems as though they have cut their workforce in half and doing business with them is intolerable.

INTOLERABLE

Awesome Smart phone!
I have had this phone for a couple weeks, and love it. I'm in Real Estate, so getting emails in the field is important. Internet, and email is fast. I love the design, and all of the features this phone has. Battery life has been fine for me. I get a day of heavy use, and still have some juice left at the end of the day.

View from Sprint employee
my cousin works at Sprint and she physically fixes phones that come in for repairs and returns. She has been telling me about how many times she's seen this phone (Moto Q) come in to be fixed or returned. She said that it was built to compete against the Blackjack and so it was made quickly and has a lot of bugs. Maybe in a year it will be a great phone after all of the bugs in the software are fixed and updated. I just want people to know who want this phone that it was made in a hurry for competition and I was advised NOT to buy it as a smart phone... the Palm Treo is way better ( i DO have one of those).

Great quality and fantastic experience
This phone was an upgrade from my 2-year old Nokia 6600. When I place them together, the Nokia 6600 does seem bulkier. The Q is about half-inch wider and longer, but it is only half the thickness, which makes it look really cool when held in hand.

I was concerned about the battery life before placing the order, but it turns out that the battery life is not bad at all! The stand-by time is over 3 days after the first charge, and I also talked for over an hour during that time. The battery begins to dissipate more quickly when I had heavy access to internet, but can't complain.

The Q has similar bells and whistles as my 6600, but it is the Windows Mobile OS that makes it stand out. The internet experience is awesome! With Sprint Vision plan, real-time access to news, sports and webmails is very fast, 3-7 seconds a page in most cases. I also downloaded and installed Google Map, and found the search features are almost comparable to PC's Google Map. It will then be a temporary good solution before I can afford a GPS.

Overall, I've been very happy with this phone and look forward to keeping it for another good two years.
