Caution - IT problem on company served Blackberry Systems
The keyboard quality appears to be good. However . . . Had problems unlocking the driver code. It turns out that the problem with the generation of the code resided with blocked cookies. Fixed it. So I was able to generate the code. However, my Blackberry 8830 is served through a company server. It now appears that I have to convince them to add the Freedom device code to the server . . . something that is not likely to happen. When Freedom state that the freedom universal keyboard is compatible with Blackberry 8800 family, I did not think that I would have to battle an IT problem to actually use it. If thier advertisement had been clearer, I would not have purchased the keyboard.

Delicate but works well
The Freedom Universal Bluetooth Keyboard is designed for small hand-held devices but it also works well with PC computers. I use it with a computer hooked up to my living room TV. It's not much bigger than a remote control, so it's ideal in a living room setting. The keys themselves are the same size as laptop keys except for some on the side like shift, enter, etc...

This product is from Britain so there are the usual complaints from semi-socialist countries: nice ideas, poor execution. It doesn't feel like a professionally designed product. The keyboard folds in half so there is a mechanism that is supposed to lock the keyboard in the straight position. Unfortunately the keyboard still wiggles a lot even when locked, so when the keyboard is on your lap it bends quite a bit. Also, the mechanism itself feels very weak. I would guess it will break easily if you forget to unlock the keyboard before folding it up. Other things like the switches, the Bluetooth button, and the battery compartment have a cheap feel to them. I haven't used the stand for the hand-held device, but it too doesn't seem very rugged, though it is a clever device the way it folds into the unit.

Overall I'm satisfied with this product. It could be designed a little more durable but it works well as long as I handle it carefully.
