User Submitted Cowon D2-4096RD D2 4GB Portable Multimedia Player (Red) ReviewsDate: 2008-12-15 decent product i do love my little player. It brings me into a different light. Mac products... well the players (ipods) tend to break and are expensive. Plus the ipod searches out itunes which i cant stand. I like this player. It is a touch screen, its decently priced, its red so it has some character and flare. Dont listen to the reviews that say this produce is easy to break, its not. Those people are crazy. I have dropped mine numerous times and it hasnt broke.. DOWNSIDE! it has no memory.. you have buy a card with it. It uses the 2gb internal memory which is little more than 400 sounds... so buy it w a card to save money... Date: 2008-12-14 excellant the best headphones that have ever come with an mp3 player. Refurbished like new. touch screen (my kids draw little pics on it) Cowon is known for great sound and great eq settings. Date: 2008-12-08 Great MP3 Player I just purchased 2 Cowan D2 Players. I got the red & black players. I love this MP3 player. I have 3 other brand players and it just can't compare to the Cowan D2. I purchased this player for playing video clips from Youtube. The software that came with the player isn't all that bad. I managed to convert my video clips quite easily using the JetAudio software. The video clips aren't the clearest but that's only because I didn't buy any upgrade software. The "Ilove" software isn't all that great and it takes too long for the video conversion. Faster with JetAudio and you can download free upgrade of the software. The touch screen is really nice to have and you really don't need the plastic stylus pointer if you don't have big fingers. The sound is great, radio is fine and using a SDHC card is fabulous! I really can't say anything negative about this MP3 player. I liked it so much I bought a second one with 8GB. Don't get too discourage with the software it came with. I know some of the viewers hated the software but I find it works just fine. I have a DELL Inspiron using Vista and it downloaded without any problems. The red one is so nice and the screen size is darn good to watch video clips. I haven't done any movies yet but that will come later. I buy this player over any IPODs because of the reasonable price. I believe you will not regret buying this gem player. This player is made in Korea and if this is the quality that is coming out of Korea then thumbs up from me. Date: 2008-12-04 The all around player for working musicians! Musicians will love this thing. I found nothing else comparable with the following list of features which to me make it a great tool for musicians. 1} [Line in recording to decent quality 256kbs wma]. Recording to loss-less flac would have been a nice bonus but the 256kbs wma quality is actually very good & the recordings are clean & noiseless. Good for a nifty portable recorder to line out to from the soundboard at gigs for fun to monitor later & maybe catch a gem or 2 of a live performance or just to get an idea of how good or bad you're sounding. 2) [FM Radio & Record from Radio to 256kbs wma]. Good for capturing a song off the radio you might want to learn & add to your repertoire. 3) [A->B playback]. This is a playback mode that allows you to mark off any section of a song to loop playback. Good for learning songs by allowing to focus on any complicated sections. 4} [Built in or external mic]. Nothing special here but worth mentioning. Maybe good for field recording. On top of all that it's a great sounding player with playback support for high quality formats such as flac (loss-less) & ogg. Organize songs in folders & playback folders as play-list or create & save play-lists with external software on computer, making it a great player to use for filling background music during breaks at gigs. Add to this memory expandability & 50 hrs of battery life. I found no other player on the market with that combination of features at this price point & quality. Date: 2008-10-20 Great battery life.... Great sound and battery life. Transferring music to the player is a breeze, simple click and drag. However the interface, graphics are mediocre compared to the Ipod. Converting video to get transferred to this player is a pain. I was not able to figure it out despite the help of a Cowon forum. Too bad technical support is inadequate. Great potential... but is stayed as potential. I am sticking with my Ipod and Iphone.
