They love this little music player! The headphones were too big for their ears, so we just bought some cheap over the ear headphones. However, since this has a built in speaker, they spend most of their time just listening to the music through the speaker. Even my 2 year old has figured out how to use this. These have gone beyond our expectations. We love that they can listen to the music without earbuds, which they do 99% of the time -- that really is it's best feature. It holds tons of music too, so they never get bored. The only downside is the effort it takes to get music onto the card, but in the end it is worth it. That may make an ipod shuffle a more obvious choice for some, but again, the ability to listen to music without earbuds makes this so awesome for the little ones:) the shaker ability is okay, but i do like that it is "controlled" [you have to hold the button down while shaking], which spared us the much-feared "flying shaker". Date: 2008-02-27 two year old daughter loves this! My daughter is 27 months and she loves to listen to her music on this MP3 player! I bought this for her in hopes that mommy and daddy wouldn't have to hear her music as much, but as soon as she realized there was the "convenient" internal speaker, that idea went out the window. All in all, this was a great buy! Date: 2008-02-13 Great fun for all!! I bought this as a gift for my 6 year old. It's recommended for an older child but she was able to learn how to use it pretty quickly. The sound quality is great and the battery life is decent. If you buy a name brand 8-12 pack of batteries, it should last for a month at least. She likes to dance and on her birthday brought it to school and it was an instant hit. I highly recommended this product for a young to preteen child, the price is right and it's very user friendly.
