User Submitted Sandisk 2GB Memory Stick Micro M2 (SDMSM-2048) & BlueProton USB 2.0 Card Reader Writer Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-04-28 Great bundle! I bought this to go with my new Sony Ericsson W580i phone. The memory works great in my phone and the included usb card reader works perfectly too. I've plugged it into several PC's and an iMac and they all recognized the micro card immediately. Transfer speeds seemed quite good. The bundled reader also accepts Micro SD's which is nice because I already have several of those for other devices. Date: 2008-01-29 Great card reader I wanted a MemoryStick M2 card to go with my new Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman phone. This particular product comes bundled with a USB adapter, which was a nice addition. The M2 card works perfectly in the phone. It reads as 2 GB, and can hold a lot of mp3s. It was packaged with an adapter to fit it in regular Memory Stick card slots. As I have nothing capable of reading Memory Sticks though, I cannot comment on the usability of that. The bundled USB adapter is very nice. The reader itself is housed inside a plastic shell, which seems just a little bit flimsy, but does at least completely cover the USB adapter. On removing the reader from the shell you simply slide the M2 card into a slot in the reader, then plug the reader into a USB port. I have Windows XP, and the card was instantly recognized. The reader can also accept MMC micro cards and SD micro cards, in a second slot. This is a nice added feature, making the reader a bit more versatile. Transfer rates to the M2 card seemed faster when using the USB reader rather than attaching the phone to the PC via its own USB cable. I didn't make any specific measurements though, as I was to eager to just some music transferred so I could get out the door. I used the Sony Ericsson Disc2Phone application: the M2 card was recognized both in the adapter and in the phone. Windows will also recognize the M2 card in the reader as a regular USB memory stick. Overall, very nice bundle. Get this if you own a Sony music device and want to extend your storage. Date: 2008-01-19 memory stick bundle I love this product. I think it is a very good package for the money, but I think the shipping cost was too much. I own a sony erickson w580i & why they didnt include more memory in the phone itself sucks. But having this card allows the phone to be used how it was designed - as music player with plenty of storage for photo & video.
