User Submitted Creative Zen 4 GB Portable Media Player (Black) Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-10-21 Better than Ipod??? Easy to use interface, expandable memory, and great sound. Has FM tuner, a great screen that plays video, and it also syncs to Outlook. Customizable equalizer, slideshow option, and voice recorder also help tailor this player to your needs. About the only thing this little guy doesn't do is play video games. Date: 2008-10-20 Love it! Creative Zen 4GB mp3 What I like ... audio books, music while I workout, ease of use, and being able to store and share photos ...being able to set them to music/slideshow is fun too! So far the amount of storage is great for me and I felt the price was quite reasonable. I have not owned many mp3 players but this is my second Zen (I lost the first) and I love it! Date: 2008-10-17 Once Loaded, it's loaded! Creative Zen 16 GB Portable Media Player (Black)I'll start with the frustration. This product will lock up while transferring files from your computer, sometimes needs to be reset. But--once the music is loaded, this MP3 is loaded. Much faster bootup than a hard drive (I bought the first 40B IRiver nearly ten years ago). So I'm used to drag and drop music transfer. This works best using the software provided. Easy to create playlists, awesome visual of album art, photos, videos. The add-on sandisk memory card (I bought a 4GB) is great to separate photos and videos, and will allow expansion as far as the cards will take you. Plus, you can carry all the music you need for about 1oz per card. The sound is awesome ( I use Shure studio-quality earbuds), it's smaller and more portable than my daughter's MP3 (some popular model made by a fruit company), and the screen is as large and seems clearer. Very pleased with the overall quality and eventual ease of use. Controls are pretty intuitive. Date: 2008-10-17 Dead after less than a year I had a Zen 8 GB player for less than a year. I like it very much for its ability to provide bookmarking function since I listened mostly to audio books during my commute. Unfortunately, it is dead in less than year (it is not recognizable by computer, no evidence of battery charging, no sign of life after resetting). To me, it is still an expensive MP3 player. So I expected it was be able to last more than a year. Date: 2008-10-15 It's just ok Compact device that does an ok job. I had trouble downloading my music files onto the device without causing it to crash. The volume of the loaded music seems inconsistent from one song to the next. I would buy an IPOD if doing over again.
