Perfect gift
I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she loves it. It is small and she loves all the capabilities it can do. She especially likes the long battery life.

DOA
Received the player,charged the battery as specified. Function buttons wouldn't work,screen just stayed lit with Sony logo and I was not even able to shut it down with the off switch. Returned to Amazon for complete refund. Cheers to Amazon for making it so easy to return.

Worked great for 8 months, then locked up
I purchased mine and for several months enjoyed the music. Then it locked up. I pressed the reset button and it worked for a little while longer, then within about a month it locked up and wouldn't reboot. Contacted Sony and the best they could do is repair for about $70 (minimum fee). Even though the unit was still in warranty, the warranty doesn't cover labor. I feel like Sony doesn't care about their products after the sale From what I have learned over the web, this is a common problem and Sony should replace the units for free. So instead of throwing good money after bad, I trashed mine and will stay away from Sony.

THis is a great MP3 Player, and plays other formats
Bought this for my wife as a gift.. She loves it.. listens to music at least a couple hours a day, and doesn't have to recharge the battery for as long as 3-4 weeks ! She has over 13 CD's stored on it with lots of room to spare ! Inexpensive, plays video clips, and several formats of sound files, MP3's, Windows media, wav, WMV, WMF, etc...

I got this for my daughter who is 12 almost 13. She has been wanting one for a long time. I have not used it but she says it is GREAT!!
