User Submitted SanDisk Sansa Clip 1 GB MP3 Player (Black) Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-10-21 Great running buddy! Every couple of years I search for a new device to keep me company on my runs. I look for an MP3 player with an FM receiver - and it must CLIP on. (I don't like armbands and I can't have something hanging around my neck.) What I really like about this device: - Reasonably priced - Small and lightweight - Clips on!!!! - Holds enough MP3's for a two-hour+ run (or buy one with more GB) - Has an FM receiver - Easy to change stations/songs when running (don't have to look at device) - Has a rechargeable battery (which keeps this device small) - Easy to load music onto - Easy to set FM stations - or let it find them for you Here's what I don't like - Takes a couple of hours to fully charge (my last Sony device took 10 mins) - A charge holds for about 15 hours (last Sony device held for 40 hours) I need to mention that I've purchased this device twice. The first one lasted about 7 months and the FM receiver quit working. I didn't hassle with trying to get it fixed (even though it was still under warranty). I quickly purchased another one and it took very little time to load up my songs and setup the FM stations. I think this is a terrific device! I would give it 5 stars if it was more sweat resistant and had a few battery improvements. I expect the next generation will improve in these areas. Date: 2008-10-17 Excellent player. This thing is great all around. Still haven't found the perfect set of earbuds that don't cost a fortune. The battery last a long time also. Date: 2008-10-14 Great Unit Great unit for the casual music person. Bought this for the gym and it has been a great unit. Date: 2008-10-14 Great for the gym! This has been an excellent purchase for me. I use it each time I go to the gym. The clip is helpful, FM to hear the news on the monitors in the gym, and very small/light. Battery life is excellent. Date: 2008-10-12 Beware I bought my clip in July. I loved it using it while jogging, it was perfect for the job until the day in September when it shut off and never worked again. SanDisk's tech department was very responsive and quickly confirmed that the player was defective. They just as quickly washed thier hands of it and passed me off to the "Return Merchandise Dept." who have completely ignored me for two weeks now. What a total disappointment. I have done some searching online and it seems to be a common theme with with many others that have purchased this mp3 player. Buyer Beware.
