User Submitted SanDisk Sansa Clip 1 GB MP3 Player (Black) Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-11-07 Check out Sandisk Website for Technical Support Outstanding product. Please read all the reviews. Had a problem with Windows XP recognizing the device after inserting into usb port. Only worked successfully on one of my three computers. However, problem was solved by going onto Sandisk website which instructed you to reset the device's settings to MSC mode rather than autodetect. This solved the problem immediately. Now I am not limited to one computer. Also, don't try to drag and drop/copy from another usb device, (another MP3 player, flash drive etc.) since it will show up blank. Use windows media instead. Otherwise, couldn't be pleased. A reliable AC adapter was also found at Walmart. Sorry, can remember the brand but it had inputs for 2 usb ports. Now I can still charge my ipod as well as the sansa clip. Date: 2008-11-06 Great for Podcasts 7 Audio Books I discovered this player by accident at Best Buy. Extremely small and useful. Don't look for functions like video playback, agenda or address book. This is all about audio. One unusual and extremely interesting feature that I have not seen discussed elsewhere: The player permits you to ADJUST THE PLAYBACK SPEED (slow, normal or fast). If you'd like to blast through an audiobook or podcast, this is an exceptional feature that I have not seen on any other player. I used WinAmp for to download and add Podcasts to the device without problems. Other advantages: It charges with a Balckberry/Motorola charger if you like; it does not lose your place when you pause and the device automatically shutsdown (remembers your place for MULTIPLE podcasts); it does not require installation of drivers to charge on USB (like Zen Plus and some others); can charge and playback at the same time (if you use an AC charger like Blackberry/Motorola). All in all a thoughtfully done player for excellent value. Date: 2008-11-04 Sansa mp3 I really like the price and the compact size of the Sansa Clip MP3 player. I have had some issues with it however. I had a bad feeling when I read the user manual and it told me what to do if the player glitched. Sure enough on the second day it shut off during playback and I couldn't get it to turn on again until I followed the manual's instructions on how to reset the player. At other times it stops playing and says I need to synchronize my player even though it had already been synchronized a couple of hours before. Finally, I don't think the battery life is that great. If I completely fill my player with music the battery will run down before I get to the end of the playlist. After I re-charge the battery the playlist begins over at the beginning and I never get to hear the songs at the end of the playlist unless I put it in shuffle mode or manually forward to the last songs. This is the second Sansa MP3 I've owned and I keep kicking myself for taking a chance with these players again. My first Sansa glitched a lot too. My daughter owns a GPX brand MP3 and my sons have Sony Walkman MP3s and have never had any problems with them. I'll purchase one of those brands in the future. Date: 2008-10-29 No Good... This player worked Great for a few months, and now it plays, but there is absolutely no volume. Customer support, even by e-mail, is not responsive. I would NOT recommend this or any SanDisk player. Date: 2008-10-25 very good little mp3 player, great for working out/jogging/running i clip it on my hooded sweater and away i go. works very well. headphones that come with it are decent, bass not too great on em, but theyre decent headphones, fairly comfortable. the only thing i dont like is how it wont recognize folders, you have to create playlists instead. its a minor problem, and i suppose its better to create playlists since you can reorder the songs the way you like -- in windows vista, if you have the mp3 files on your player, you can just select them all, right click and it gives you a create playlist option, then i just move that playlist to the playlist folder and i can organize my songs that way. seems to hold a good charge, i use it about an hour and a half every day, its been about 7 days since i first fully charged it and i havent had to recharge yet.
