A Must Have Unit!!
Forget about those great big unit's, this little beauty has got the lot. You don't need to spend a lot of money on one of those big bulky unit's. The Samsung T10 4 GB Slim Portable Media Player has all the features in one little package, you'll be quite surprised of the quality this gem's got. I bought it for my daughter and she love's it.

buy a no name cheap 2 gb for convenience
I have the hardest time transfering mp3 files from a cd to the unit. there is no drop and drag feature. The whole appel samsung etc design seems to be to connect to internet and buy a song for a dollar, i suggest buy 3 or 4 identical no name cheap 2 gb memory stick type player for convenience. They use aaa batterys and are easy to use. If your a computer expert then samsung will be fine.

Good Player
Honestly I lost my player after about one month so I am not able to comment on the longevity of the product. While I did have it though:

Good Sound:
I liked the sound that it produced using my Sony headphones - I did not try the factory ones since I had previous bought earphones that I like. The Samsung was able to produce incredibly good sound through them so I was 100% pleased with sound quality.

Good Video:
I was also 100% pleased with video quality. Using Windows Media Player to convert the files, it auto-rotated the video so that it needed to be turned sideways. I liked this since some of videos were movie format.

Good Battery:
I only charged it once in the month that I used it. Typical use was more than 30 minutes at a time usually at least twice a day, almost daily. It was about three weeks before I needed to recharge it so I was 100% satisfied with the battery life.

Good Storage:
This could be highly preferential since I have never owned a larger (30+ gig) player. I only own about 5 GB of audio and 7 GB of video and do not feel that I need to have my entire library backed up to my player - the person who found my player may have felt otherwise. Since the player is charged via USB, I only stored what I felt I would actually listen to and that never pushed the capacity over 2.5 GB.

So-So Interfaces:
The reason I did not give the player 5 stars was simply because there is no excuse for so-so software in today's market. I am not a neophyte, I just felt that it should be more obvious how to move entire folders or create or delete folders and play lists on the player. Once a song is on the player it cannot be dragged and dropped into another folder. My personal opinion is that this is minor and I don't mind "working around it" to perform what I need, but is enough to keep from saying that it is a perfect (5 star) item.

Overall:
I like that it is an open-source oriented player that supports multiple formats, uses Windows media player for video conversion and held the media files that I wanted to carry. The media play back was exceptional. I would recommend this player.
