SAMSUNG P2 - ALMOST VERY GOOD
This is a well designed product with a good interface and great software. It's very easy to use and has excellent construction.

Pros:
- Great looking
- Easy use
- Good intuitive interface
- Has lots of functionality, music, video, e-books, recording
- Great Bluetooth connectivity.
(I connected my phone via Bluetooth to the player and hooked the player to my car aux input, now I have an excellent hands free)
- Good sound reproduction

Cons:
- You cannot connect two different Bluetooth devices at the same time like a headphone and a phone
- It does not have an inbuilt speaker, makes you use the headphones to listen to anything. You cannot share the sound
- No wireless this would have taken the player over the top and a true i-Touch competitor.
- The connect software is minimalist.

Overall a great player!

Samsung yp-p2 jcb 8 GB Where is the 35 hours?
I am not going to repeat all of what everyone else said about this unit because they are right on the money. It is a nice, sleek, well designed unit that puts out great sound quality. I bought mine for 150 at circuit city about 2 weeks ago. I have one major complaint that I just cannot seem to get over though ....battery life is just pathetic. I powered the thing up to max, listened to maybe 2-3 hours of audio throughout the day. Then used it that night for about another 2 hours. The next day I brought it to the gym to enjoy some tunes on my new samsung only to be totally disappointed and see a big fat Battery icon on my screen. The thing couldn't even power up?? I have read about adjusting the settings and tried this already. I am just second guessing myself about why on earth wouldn't I have just spent another $50 and just get the Itouch. IT is $200 right now. My biggest issue is that i like to go out and hike or take a weekend trip where there are no computers to charge up this unit. I may as well leave this at home if it is only going to last at most 6 hours. Just a thought and heads up for all you adventurous types that may want a player that will work for you when you need it.... This is just my opinion and I don't know if the itouch would even last any longer than the samsung. This is only my second player I have ever owned. My first one destroys this in battery life, and it was a PDA phone. Anyway, Hopefully mine is just a bad unit for the sake of samsung...If i could oversee the battery life, I would love it, but i just can't see getting past it! If anyone wants mine I would definitely sell it for $125.00 right now, It is only one week old!!!

1 year review.
Why pay twice the price for an I-pod? This is great piece of technology. Easy to use, quality sound, touch screen is great.

Still didn't get it!
Product was on back order for a few days even though website said was in stock.(It was for my daughters birthday) When she finally got it, it didn't want to turn on and so after I called Samsung directly they said it was a manufacture defect. They were going to fix it free of charge for me but it would take 2 weeks. Since it was almost my daughters' birthday I said I would send it back to where I got it from because Amazon has a very good return/exchange policy. I went to their online return site and sent the player back to Amazon.(I think their policy was that they send you a replacement as soon as they get my return notification) It's been almost a month later and my daughter still doesn't have her birthday present! (Email said product was backordered till Oct 15! But when I look online it says that it's in stock)
I'm sure this is a good player because I have other Samsung players but if I knew it was going to take this long I should have gotten a refund and ordered it from someplace else.

Good in many areas but..
Final: 3 Stars (Sound is good but not enough to make up for the things that were so bad (UI, included software, problems that came with the player) I am rounding down from a 3.5 or so).
Get it if you want something different and care about sound.
Don't get it if you want something that looks nice (UI) and is easy to use with an accurate touch screen.
