Excellent choice considering EVERYTHING!!
I did a LOT of research about this product and other mp3 players in the same price range...here are the things I found along with my own use for two weeks about this product:-

-The most important is the sound quality. It is REALLY good. I compared it with an ipod of my roommates', I believe the Samsung P2 was better. Although, I might be biased since I own the P2, but they are really close. What sets it aside is the DNSE, which allows you to listen to music the way you want( bass heavy etc). The only problem I found was when I put the volume at "2" along with a slow song there is a slight background noise that you can hear... but since I never listen to music at that low a volume its not a problem for me.

-The user interface is spectacular, no doubt.I won't compare it with ipod touch, since, it was out of my price range but they are close competitors. I won't argue with people who say that ipod touch is better, because I had very little experience with an ipod touch.

-The video quality is spectacular. NO ONE can deny that fact. No problems with the video..you can watch whole movies in this.

Overall, this is a spectacular product. Though I did run in a problem. It hangs in a certain place repeatedly. I talked to samsung, they were really helpful. Im returning the P2 for repairs, they paid for the shipping, which I liked. Its just a software malfunction, I believe...I'll update my review once I get it back.

All around player
Well first off i had it about 4 mounts and i think samsung makes some really great products in all area's but this little player is great and a little slimmer than the itouch but most of all is the bluetooth was my main reason for buy. Also i have dropped this twice from about 4 to 5 feet with no problems. The only bad thing is the strict spec's of audio and vidio meaning you just cant throw any old video or audio format on it but the supplied media program takes care of that. This is a great product i have no regrets and would buy again without a second thought

The Best MP3 / PVP Available
Before I purchased my YP-P2 I researched literally every model I could find. I even purchased a Zune 30GB but took it back to the store the next day (that's an entirely different review). Finally I ordered the Samsung and it has delivered on everything promised and more.

I'm out in the desert flying medevac helicopters so I needed something portable that I could use to watch movies on during my 24-hour alerts. Here are my thoughts on the YP-P2:

-Internet connections are not always reliable out here, so it was refreshing that I was able to use the YP-P2 right out of the box without having to be online. I just plugged it into my laptop and charged it up and it was ready to go.

-I've seen reviews about the difficulty transferring videos of different formats onto the player. When I was able to get online, I downloaded the newest software from Samsung and converting files is easy and efficient. It takes about 45 minutes to convert a movie, but that's the norm. I've set it up to reduce my 1Gb .avi files into 300 Mb .svi files for the YP-P2. The quality I get in both audio and video is still great. Unfortunately, the Samsung software is pretty useless for anything else since the interface is so archaic. I use Windows Media Player to transfer music to the player and it works great.

The screen and interface are absolutely gorgeous, especially with the newest firmware from Samsung. I work with a whole group of die-hard Ipod fans who were certain that I was going to regret not going with the Ipod Touch. That was until they saw the YP-P2. The audio quality is beautiful and the screen is perfect for viewing videos. The extra $100 I was able to pocket by not forking over $300 for an Ipod Touch (what does "no software upgrade" mean, anyway?) is just an added bonus.

Conclusion: If you want a great gadget to watch movies and listen to music on, this is definitely the one to go with.

I think this is better than IPOD.
First, let me say that I am Anti-IPOD. After searching for a player that is as good as IPod, functional and not expensive, I came across the Samsung YP-P2JCB. This is my third MP3 player and it is the best by far. It's a good price and the features are awesome. This player is ideal to use in conjunction with the Unlimited Rhapsody subscription. ([...]). You will enjoy nothing but pure fun and entertainment. The only setback is that you can only get it in 8GB and you can't add more memory. But for those who are not trying to download every song and movie on the planet, it works great. I can't forget the one amazing feature that really attracted me to this player and that is the Bluetooth function. If you have a Bluetooth cell phone, you can answer your phone calls through the player headset. Make sure that you have the appropriate headset for this function. Now you can listen to your music and not miss a call.

Significant Bluetooth Problems
There is one significant problem with this unit. I connected two bluetooth Motorola S9 headsets to it and the music slows dramatically, making it almost useless. I have downloaded firmware 3.15 but it doesn't help. We use the unit to train in ballroom dance and thought it would be ideal to have both people listening to music off 1 unit. Until they fix this problem I would steer clear.
