Fantastic device minor flaws
After using both a 2gb clip and a 4gb clip for several months now, (gave my 2gb clip to my girlfriend and replaced it with a 4gb clip) I am extremely pleased and satisfied. This was bought for replacement of a broken ipod, mostly for gym use.

Pros - Incredible Sound, extremely light, size, screen, price, supports exporting playlists
Cons - not instant on (takes several seconds to load up when turned on), requires a firmware update to use

Overall - excellent device buy it, you will not be disappointed

I'd price it at $25. 'Nice if it had games.
Yes, you can hold 1000 songs. 1000 WMA songs, that is. WMA is another unworthy compressed music format that, when converted to, degrades the quality of the original source audio(lossy file compression for audio files). But, if you are a real person that exists and you only tolerate clear, high quality audio, you only get little over 450 songs.

You obviously get no video playback. But it'd be nice if they had put some sort of simple game to play on this, like Pong. Or maybe even turn it horizontally for a little Tetris action.

This product was worth the money while it was still $30 here on amazon. Great sound quality. I can ride on the loud New York City subway trains, put the volume at about 80$, and drown out the clang, clatter, loud groups of school kids, and crying babies of the train.

I recommend buying different headphones. The included ones just don't go as loud or drown out the noise like these:JVC HAF130A Portable Gummy Earbud Headphones ( Mint Blue ) And plus, those plain black headphones with the sponge around them just aren't cool.

Batter life is unsurprisingly great. It better had been. I haven't listened to this thing straight long enough to know the exact battery life, but after about 5 hours, the battery meter is a little less than half empty. USB charging, as normal.

The user interface is superfluous, like all of Sansa's mp3 players. Like going back to the full song list, for instance, requires a 2 clicks, instead of 1 like the ipod, which gets really annoying sometimes.

The screen is very easy to read. Navigation through extensive song lists is manageable(you have to press and hold the buttons).

It can read Windows Media playlists! But, sadly not Itunes playlists.I like using Itunes to make those really cool Genius playlists, which are made up of songs that Apple's database thinks "goes great together". But there are a few freeware applications you can use to very easily export your itunes to WM playlists. (hint hint)

It really is an Accessory. You can literally wear it. I wouldn't want to show off that cheap little thing, though, unless you don't have a reputation to uphold.

Another plus is being able to record directly from off any radio channel you are listening to. The radio only goes goes up to 105.1FM, instead of the full band at 108.0FM. But, who really listens to radio enough to even care? It gets a little static-y, though. But you can't really blame a device this small and of such low voltage.

The built-in microphone is like "eh". I think the just wanted another gimmick to make people think that its a great buy, not that it isn't.

Great product, overall. I'd recommend the 4GB model, though,SanDisk Sansa Clip 4 GB MP3 Player (Silver) even if the silver paint makes it look even more cheap, like all products painted silver. 'Hope this extensive review helped. A nice, fitting silicon case will do good, too.Dual Silicone Skin Set for 1, 2, and 4GB Sansa Clip - Red & Yellow

**What is it with that silver paint on electronics, anyways? It's so played out...

Great little MP3 player
After reading several customer product reviews for this item on Amazon.com, I decided to give the SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 player a try. I must say that I have not been disappointed. I own an iPod 80 GB that I use constantly and enjoy, but it was too bulky for the gym. I tried an arm band holder for it, and I found it to be pretty annoying. When I received my Sansa Clip, I hooked it up to my laptop via the USB cable, which was included, and it was recognized instantly. I downloaded my workout tunes and have been enjoying it ever since! The battery life is pretty good, too, and I have no complaints on how long it goes between charges. I also purchased the flexible case with house and car charger, which were a great deal Durable Flexible Clear Silicone Skin Case + Car + Home Travel Charger For SanDisk Sansa Clip. The case really protects it well, and the chargers are great, making it very convenient to recharge the Clip without the hassle of connecting it to a computer. I have found that the clip attaches pretty well to my clothing. I usually clip it on the bottom of my shirt when I'm at the gym, and it rarely comes off. The time or two that it has, it hasn't hurt a thing. It is so light that there is no weight to pull on it when it dangles on the earbuds, therefore, not really a problem!

Great little Guy!
I use this at the gym every day and it is great! It clips to my shirt or shorts and stays on tight, and the sound is perfect. You would never know it was so affordable. I deffinetly would buy this product again!

love my sansa clip
i've had my sansa clip for a year now and it's been working fine. while i do wish the battery life was longer, it lasts about 4 1/2 hours or so.i don't use it all day long or longer than when i'm at work. i had a problem in the beginning with it staying charged, but i spoke to someone at best buy and they suggested a wall charger, haven't had a problem since. i've dropped it once outside and it still played, but i bought a silicone sleeve and that protects it even better. the sound quality is great and while there are somethings that could be different, if you just need it to serve a purpose of listening to music then this is an excellent choice. the clip on the back is great because you can clip it to your clothes and your hands are free.
