Terrific MP3 player
This is the best MP3 player I have owned. I previously had an IPOD shuffle and Coby 1G clip player. The IPOD had issues syncing with my computer and the Coby wouldn't hold a charge. Neither had a display and I searched for a better product.

I got the Sansa clip and it works great. It connected to my computer right away and has an easy to use display. I can skip to any artist, album or song and it holds a charge well. Best of all it works with Windows media player so I don't have to deal with ITunes anymore. Sandisk MP3 players are the best values out there.

My 4th player and my favorite
This is the fourth MP3 player I have owned. I had a little RCA back in 2003, a Rio HD player, and a Samsung Yepp. Every other one either physically broke or just stopped working. This Sansa gets some heavy use and it has been great. The music transfer is fast, the clip is very convenient and it came with the best pair of earbuds I had ever had.

Electronic devices should be more like this!
Pros:

- Easy to charge via USB, good sound quality, easy to read/clear screen, small, light.

Cons:

- No AUTO OFF, battery life tends to last until you forget to turn the beast off

- Two USB modes. Basically one mode makes the player work like a hard disk, no drivers, no nonsense. The other mode is some sort of an enhanced version. If you upload a file in one mode it is invisible if you try to look at it through the other mode. In recent versions of the firmware you can force it into one mode or the other.

- MP3 Only, no AAC, no M4a.

- Belt clip is obnoxious. Even when you remove the clip, it leaves the plastic somewhat uneven. Tactile cues are poor. I would like it to be easier to use without needing to look at the display.

- Seems to be inconsistent in categorizing music

amazing sound quality
I just got my sansa clip 2gb and I couldn't believe how good the sound quality was. it has good bass and good high's. I used the user equalizer setting and I raised the first bar on the left to about 80 percent and I raised the last bar on the right to about 80 percent and I couldn't believe my ears. I'm using the ultimate ears super fi 5 pro and the sound quality is awesome. plan on buying a good in ear earphone.the sound quality exceeded my expectations.

good not great
Sound is quite good, And I like the size. the clip could be better designed, though. Unlike the Ipod shuffle clip, which has an interlocking tooth design, this clip just sits flush agains the housing. That causes it to not hold so well while running - it falls off a shirt hem or cuff very easily. Clip should be better designed.

Otherwise, no complaints - works well and sounds great. I especially like the interface, as I like to use it like an external drive and drag and drop songs and folders into it. I hate using software like Itunes and WMP to "synch" things, and this device lets me do it the simple way thru the file explorer.
