User Submitted SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player (Black) Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-10-17 Works Great With Linux The main reason I like this player is because it works flawlessly with Ubuntu 8.04 (Linux). I was also looking for a player loud enough to hear without my hearing aids as I have a severe to profound hearing loss. I have to turn the volume pretty much to the max though. I could even create playlists after I discovered this link: http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=clip&thread.id=4410 Following the instructions, the playlists download and work perfectly. The only bad thing is that the earbuds that came with it hurt a little bit after a while, but I think that most people replace the earbuds anyway. The sound quality is still very good. Considering that the ipod shuffle is $49 dollars on the apple website, but doesn't have a screen or a way to add playlists, the sansa clip is definitely a better deal. I wasn't expecting how small it was going to be; it's very tiny, but I was fine with it once I got over the initial surprise. I don't regret buying this one iota. Date: 2008-10-16 Can't Go Wrong with the Sansa Clip No real complaints about the Sansa Clip. It's compatible with my library's digital software. The batter power is pretty impressive, I get 12+hrs out of mine. Initially I had a problem with the player, it wouldn't let me pause or fast-forward, but if you visit the Sansa website there's a driver that you can download to correct that. It's very durable (I've dropped mine loads of times and it still works fine) and it's super easy to download things onto. After about 8 months the clip on the back of mine did break, but that's really been my only problem. Best $35 my husband ever spent on me! My only recommendation might be to splurge on one of the 2GB or 4GB Sansa clips if you're like me and want to load your mp3 player up with several audiobooks at once, I do sometimes feel limited by only 1GB of space. Date: 2008-10-11 Great sound quality I have never had any kind of mp3 or ipod so this is my very first experience. I like how easy it is to move songs from my computer to to mp3. my only issue is I have crappy dial up so it take about 45 min per song to down load. Something to think about. over all easy to find song, radio gets great reception. Date: 2008-10-11 I LOVE This Cute Lil MP3.... I bought one for my son's B-Day & was surprised when I saw how small it was,but don't let the size fool you it has awesome sound, you can clip it just about anywhere,it's easy to use,the ear buds have a nice weight & the sound beats the my SPi MP3 I bought & mine is a Nightmare to use,so unless my other son wants that one it's going back & I'm gonna buy another SanDisk. So far I have yet to find a down side with it... Date: 2008-10-09 Wow I am very satisfied with this player. It is easy to download music and the music is very clear. The signals from the radio are clear.
