User Submitted SanDisk Sansa Fuze 4 GB MP3 Player (Black) ReviewsDate: 2008-11-18 Excellent I was looking for a mp3 player for work. My wife has an IPod nano, I really liked hers but I couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money twice. I bought the fuze and am very glad I did! I love it. I work 12 hour shifts and have been listening to it at work for three straight days now and my battery level is just below half charge! It takes a little bit to get used to navigating through the screens if you are used to a nano. But everything is very well laid out. Another thing I really like is the back side is coated with a type of rubber so you don't have to worry about it scratching on everything (my wifes nano has about 50 scratches on the back) The only thing I don't really care for is the head phones, they sound good they are just a little old school. That's ok though I bought this for the player not the head phones, and they are easily replaced especially with the money I saved by not buying an IPod. One more thing, my wife asked if I would trade. I told her not a chance. Date: 2008-11-17 Great little MP3 player Works as expected. Media on micro SD card integrates flawlessly into the library and is a cheap way to increase storage space. Sound quality is great. I got this because I don't want to use itunes or any special software to put music on it. You can simply plug it into any computer and send stuff to it. If you want to, you can even use the space as a flash drive. Recommended because of the expandability and low price. Date: 2008-11-16 Excellent iPod killer i gotta say after owning the mini and the 2nd gen Nano, i am quite frankly blown away by this lil sleek thing. The menus r simple and the sound is very good. I tried the video, but it was a bit too small for me. for Seventy two bucks, skip the new nano and get 2 of these puppies for the same moolah. i would recommend it to anybody. go 4 it. Date: 2008-11-16 For audiobook listeners...fantastic! I just got my Fuze and it exceeds my expectations. Let me explain. I listen to audiobooks and music. I have never been able to find a player that allows me to remember my audiobook place (bookmark) after listening to music. Fuze let's me do this. When listening to a book, simply exit to main menu and you are given the option to resume when you return to your book. Awesome! And you will also automatically resume on the music track when you return there. I have had had a Creative Zen V for the past couple of years, I actually bought a Sansa 260 back then but got rid of it. The Fuze is so much better. As for the player itself - it feels robust with a lovely finish. How well it withstands scratches remains to be seen but I will most likely get a silicone cover. The controls are wonderful to the touch and scrolling through the menus is a breeze. The scroll wheel on the Fuze is a huge improvement on its predecessor. The only thing I would suggest to discard are the headphones. Get yourself a decent pair as the those included are garbage. But then this goes for most brands of MP3 players. I use Sennheiser PX 100 which are great value at less than $40 on Amazon. All in all, the Sansa Fuze is a great little player. Date: 2008-11-15 Great Product Purchased for my 12 year old. He loves it. Very easy to use and great value for the money. Have been very pleased with all SandDisk MP3 players.
