Greatest Music Player
Can't beat the storage on this baby! 120GB takes almost all my movies, video podcasts and music. Great that Apple standardized on this. You may say "oh, I can just use any mp3 player"; well you can, but many hours later after managing your music and hunting for url's, you will say "why didn't I just get the ipod?". Can't beat iTunes free downloads; CNN In Case You missed it; Insight for Living; Desiring God; Mosaic; Just Thinking; Leo Laporte; Meet the Press; it's all there and it's free! Happy listening!

Disapointment
My iPod Classic did no perform as I would have expected it to after about 2 months of owning it. I bought it from Walmart, and soon after, it began to erase its own contents without my permission. It Flickers, and takes a while to load the cover flow. It freezes everything when I sync an album or tow, and and makes weird crackling sounds when it searches. The screen gets scratched and chipped easily, and it cannot even display PDF files.

I think I'd enjoy a touch more, since the games are much more enjoyable to play, like poker, and that to me, is well worth the investment. If I need storage, I can just buy an external hard drive with 500 GB for $80 at tiger direct.

I'm sending it in to apple now. Hopefully I will get a replacement, and not some refurbished product that will fail me.

Cant wait till they develop flash memory to more than 50 GB!!

All about capacity!!!
This is the fourth Apple iPod classic 120 GB Black (6th Generation) I have owned (1st gen 10gb, 4th ,or was it 5th?> gen 30 gb, and a 1 gb Shuffle). After acquiring enough content to max out the 30 gb, I knew it was time for a change.

If you're looking for bells and whistles, look at the Touches or the iPhone... if you're looking for a single device to store all your music, video, and podcasts without having to constantly manually reorder playlists or decide which podcasts you can live without, this is the iPod for you.

I travel for business and often use that time to catch up on marketing and business podcasts. Previously, this would require me to move music off the iPod to free up space for the podcasts. Now I grab and go.

Coupled with a decent set of Bose® QuietComfort® 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® Headphones and you've just built yourself a mini Fortress of Solitude, even in Cubicle Hell...

Great big player, small package
I've had lots of other MP3 players and always poopooed the hype about ipods. When I got my new Nissan Murano just before Christmas 2008, it came with an Ipod dock. I decided to get an ipod so I could control it through the stereo rather than having to fumble with my MP3 player while driving. I am amazed at how well it works.

Boy was I wrong about ipods! The features, controls and menus are miles above any other MP3 player I've owned or used. I've got all of my cd collection (over 100 CDs) stored on this baby and it's not even half full! The screen is incredibly easy to use, and the ability to keep all of my audiobooks (monthy downloads from Audible) on it means that I've always got the next novel ready when I'm bookin' down the road.

It was given as a gift to my son who LOVES it. Finds it easy to use.
