The Peek Experience
I've been a Peek with Life-Time Service user since March 2009 as well as a Blackberry user for many years. When I first ordered the Peek, I had hoped to completely replace my Blackberry with the Peek, and just have a basic cell phone also. That hasn't quite happened (yet) because I like to have a calendar feature to maintain a meeting schedule. But, as an email and text device, the Peek is terrific. I've got mine set up to accommodate my office and personal email accounts. Setup was simple. I've compared email sent and receive times to my Blackberry. The Peek is a little slower (about 30 seconds to a minute) than my Blackberry, but in the big picture - who cares. It is fast enough. Also, the Peek team has made improvements since I first got the device which have improved the send / receive rate. Software upgrades have been free, and on-line support is really very good. I haven't needed phone support, but I suspect it is probably good. The people who make this device seem to have a hands-on approach and have a great website for information and support. I really like not having a monthly bill also! Bottom-line - if you are looking for a simple to use, cool looking, and relatively inexpensive email-only device - the Peek is it.

Not fancy but functionally perfect at a great price
I tried a smartphone a few years back and wasn't all that happy with high price, very high monthly service cost, a minimum two-year contract and adequate but awkward and kludgey functionality for web access, email retrieval and handheld/desktop synchronization. The first thing I did when the contract ran out was buy a cheap flip phone and sign up for a minimal pay-as-you-go phone service. The web service was slow and a bit expensive but I didn't need to use it much. The only issue was that I had no portable email service and, since I'm a freelancer, it's very important that I make myself reachable round-the-clock and email is how I conduct most of my business contact.

I saw a mention of the Peek when the service was first launching and I was online immediately ordering a Peek and setting up my account and I've never looked back. My overall monthly costs have been about half of what they had been and the service was excellent to begin with and has been improved and expanded regularly. I've been through two major software upgrades and they've both gone very smoothly and every Peek employee I've dealt with has been knowledgeable, cheerful, helpful and committed to meeting my needs and giving great service, to match that of the device and software combination they offer.

It was an absolute no-brainer a couple of weeks back when Peek first announced a flat-price lifetime service as an alternative to the (already low) monthly charge. I'm signed up and I expect to grow old using my Peek, but to stay young by remaining on the technological cutting edge with the regular service additions (unlimited free texting, social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) link-ups and whatever wonderful thing comes next.

I suffer techno-lust enough to sometimes think about an iPhone or whatever the new big-deal smartphone is being covered in the tech news but I'm so happy with what I already have that I'll probably never spend the ridiculous amounts of money necessary to get the next "hot" gadget.

Awesome for texting
This thing is so indestructible. I was on the swing ride at six-flags that goes up in the air and spins. It fell out of my pocket when I was at the top. It hit concrete and lived! I love my Peek and my Peek loves me.

Portathin
1.It`s only 3/8`s of an inch thick and only 4 inches high , taking up less space in my pocket than a cell phone 2. It saves me a lot of wear & tear on my cellphone for the 200 plus emails that I receive daily .3. The short cut delete features are excellent for multiple mass deletion of junk mail . 4. The battery is extremely easy to change or replace via the sturdy, easy to remove back plate. 5. The unit is also very easy to read in the sunlight .6. The push email feature is automatic after a very easy signup. 1. The only negative I can find is that when I delete an email on my Peek , it is not also deleted from my AOL mail .

International Peek
I went away on a small vacation to the island of Trinidad in the West Indies- just last week. My Peek worked great, all over the island i had a signal, and i was able to send and receive text and email to family, frinds and very inportantly get all emails from the company i work for. My Peek worked great.
